I came to thread to look for angle to defend mr holgate but looking at comments it would be suicide mission so i choose to be coward and walk away instead.

Yep. Someone else should be given the chance to make ridiculously bad mistakes in defence instead!

He's just not good enough. Wasn't good enough last year either. He's been hugely overrated by our fans like most young players.

If by metrics you mean actual numbers I'm going to say no.

If by metrics you simply mean he's pretty good in multiple areas I disagree with that too. The only thing he's good at involving the ball is his confidence level in thinking he's good on it. He's always willing to try things.
