But they’ve also not been given the runaround by better players than Watkins so it’s swings and roundabouts really.

You’ll be the only person on this forum that doesn’t think he kept him quiet. By all account Dom was quiet yesterday but scored a goal. Scoring doesn’t make your quiet game exempt.

I don’t think you’re getting the point.

I've defended and liked Holgate in the past but he recently he has been a total shambles. 4th choice CB we get rid of any this is the one to get rid of.

The point is that you think they've been good because they were decent in some games that they weren't actually good in like the game at Anfield where Godfrey was responsible for basically all the good chances.

The point is simply you can have both good and bad games. I won’t stop your Godfrey vendetta though.

With Mina and Keane now fit, I don't think he should play another minute this season.

His form has been one of the worst aspects of this season.

Hopefully next season he can get a grip and play himself back but no way on gods earth should he be starting for us now.

He looks mentally shot and that's leading him to make too many mistakes: yesterday, there was no real need to turn like he did.

As you say, he shouldn't be anywhere near the first XI, however I hope in the long-term that he can rekindle his form.

....his natural inclination is to pass it back. A couple of games ago I was startled at the pass where he put DCL in on goal, but that is an exception. Whether he’s CB or FB, the tempo stops with him because he struggles to link with teammates. I remember earlier this season, we had a free kick on the half way line and he passed it back to Pickford.

i don’t think he’s mentally shot. On the contrary, I get the impression he thinks he’s better than he is. It’s dangerous when a player doesn’t know his limitations.
