Well hopefully by 4/5 yrs down the line we won't have to worry about the likes of Chelsea coming in and trying to take our best players with mega bucks offers! Shame for you guys though. I often wonder if teams like yours could keep their young prospects a couple years longer could they make enough of a nucleus to try and push on a bit, and make it a better place to stay in the first place? The eternal question I guess for some teams...

I imagine this sort of thing was said when Stones signed. I think history tells us the manager and scouting staff know more about our signings than we do. Likewise fans of Barnsley and Wolves (Lescott) who made comments in here after we signed their prized assets.
 

Fair enough all of 18 years old - didnt know Man Utd had him on a trial last year and it didnt pan out. Lets see how he settles and takes to the under 19/21s.

Didn't you know that Gomez is already better than Stones and Bobby Moore combined? The most knowledgeable passionate fans in der world said so. It's a conspiracee by that dinosaur Hodgson that he's not first choice for England.
