You've been spot on about everything but this. Garbutt is a talentless grass, the only skill he has is betrayal.

they'd rather us, a team who is unwilling to sell unless an absurd amount comes in, rather than a smaller club who will get nowhere near as much because the signing on fee they get will be much larger. a team linke norwich would probably sell after a £10m bid before being sold again 2 years later for £40m etc. barnsley would only get the sell on for £10m if that was the case - that's more important than the original fee they sell for which will always be not very reflective given their stature.

The owner of our club keeps shooting down anyone who says we have sell on clauses on Holgate & Stones, he corrects them and says we have future earnings clauses not sell ons, meaning if Everton get a sell on deal with ether and it's activated we'll also get a percentage of that too, as well as a percentage of any add ons and such like, that was the reason we took less than they was worth up front.

I like this. Not only does it just show respect, but it also marks us out as a good club to deal with when star talent from lower leagues wants to move on, which is really important for a club like ours.

We've got five of our under 21s team in our first team squad, so our under 21s is full of U18S so they're getting gubbed ever week, with U18s playing U21 that means younger lads are playing under 18s, U18s play Saturday at 11-00 and normally drop on first team away days with going to all first team games I don't get much chance to see U18s last Saturday we was at home and 18s were too against Leeds so I nipped down, I was very surprised with the quality of our team mostly 16 17 year olds, talking to a few blokes who go to all U18S they say this is the best crop of kids we've ever had, fantastic to watch too, pass and move at a high tempo with every player happy to play football and work the ball. We do seem to be developing young lads correctly these days so maybe we could have a few more gems in a couple of years.

Its a joke from when it looked like he wasn't going to sign a contract and some people - davek particularly - threw their toys out of the pram and decided he was a backstabbing traitor and terrible at football.

Possibly also from when a fake Garbutt twitter account got set up and tweeted negative things about Martinez
