Dea;ling with a big powerful centre forward these days isn't about being really strong though mate, offtimes just being really good on your positioning removes the need to get involved in a battle with them, holgate seems just a natural defender so with experience think he can easily handle playing in a back 4

Good shout on Ratters, also one of the fastest cb's i have ever seen as well

....it's more dealing with crosses and dead balls but I suppose the likes of Benteke and Dann are a handful for anybody.

tough night for the kid but he will learn from this and no shame in finding it tough against one of the more direct and physical sides in the league.

TBF Coleman left him to exposed in the first half - the sub of MaCarthy stifled us, but he needed to be subbed A more attacking player needed imo Holgate will recover though!

deffo mate, this is how defenders learn by getting the odd roasting. 1st goal he wasn't set and lost his man and BANG he looks inexperienced. Looked like a seasoned pro 2nd half against City and was solid very Palace.

I think Koeman knows what he's doing with him, brought him off against Leicester in the cup then brought him back so sure he will do the same again when the time is right
