James .........good enough .........yes or no
Allan.................good enough .......yes or no
Doucoure............good enough yes or no
that leaves just a new ball carying attacking ACM
As goat said United are second with McTominay and Fred as DMs
James is good enough but is he available enough is a massive question.
Allan is probably good enough.
Doucoure definitely isn't.

James isn't really a center mid though in this league so if the group of four is Allan, Doucoure and the United fellas I'm going Fred, Allan, McTominay and Doucoure with the closest to being switched being Allan and McTominay.

Our midfield is not very good and we also need more depth because we won't be getting 38 games out of Allan or James. I'd say at best two players and that assumes Davies continues to ascend.

Did you watch Fred on Sunday ?????
Fred has been largely good for them this season even if he's had bad games. It was fun to laugh at him at first because he was truly horrible but over the last 12 to 18 months he's settled in and been a steady, dependable player. They're second because of him more than in spite of him.

You are wasting your time with Big Oil mate, he hates Everton, its players, manager and most of its fans.
I doubt that I just do not think he has a true appreciation of the English game and its differences from other leagues
What works in the States and in Europe does not work here and for top 4 we do not have to be as technical as some make out
Look at the Scum
Not great technically but play to their key strengths and have a decent defence and GK (until Pickfordgate happened )

We all do, but that doesnt mean you hate till we are.
It isn't hate, I'm not sitting here hoping we lose, but at the same time I am honest about what I see and what I see is a side that isn't very good. You can be optimistic if you like, but I honestly think this season is aside from James and Allan's injuries probably one of the best scenarios we could have had and we're still not close.

I'd just like us to take a step back and rebuild for a couple of years instead of doing another summer of the "2 or 3 good signings and we're there" thing again. That side I'd get right behind even if there were some rough patches. But I find it hard to be super positive about a side that I feel is spinning its wheels.

The same as Allan once he settles ,not flashy ,not world class just steady and dependable ,same as Doucoure
In an ideal world I would upgrade Doucore to a more technical ball carrying midfielder bur him Allan James and one other top class ACM are quite capable of getting us top 4
Its when we get injuries the drop off to Davies Gomes ,Iwobi ,Delph ,Bernard and to a lesser degree Siggy is too much
I am hoping Gbamin comes back as the player we thought we were signing
It will take two summers to sort out the first 11 and a couple more to sort the bench
