Madness people thought koeman wasn't a fan of youth ... he's actually all for it !!

Am unsure of this signing .. i mean he has his high points ( skill / power / pace ) but also he looked poor and half arsed at times for watford

i'll trust the gaffa/walsh on this one

I'm worried about his attitude, but at the same time Koeman takes none of it and I'm confident that if he steps out of line he will be gone.

It's just as important for Naing to rebuild his reputation and career as it is for us to get a forward in.

Could go either way this one.

Gotta be honest , I didn't think Ronny would be so enthusiastic about playing young players.
I thought he would get some older players he likes in and blend in a few youngster around the slightly past their prime peeps .
Haven't been this glad to be wrong since I thought Mosh wouldn't have the backbone to sack Bobby.
Brave new world.

I like a bit of a maverick and he is certainly that.

A wing forward who can play on the flank all day for me, no way is he a central striker. Big unit and is a bit of a hulk power wise, he hs some really obvious skill.

The lad looks a very good player, but he needs his brains coached out of him. Raw but effective talents if you can harness all his attributes and talents for good consistently he could be a top top player but he badly needs developing. One example is his touch is god awful for someone with his technique and he relies far to much on his pace and needs to develop his close control, its often the case with fast players.

Milan was a poor poor move for him, in the drama and the transient nature of Italian football squads and managers, he was never going to develop and hasnt had consistnet coaching after being at Milan through different managers, Genoa and Watford.

I like this punt and have an inkling he will develop in the right nurturing coaching environment.

He reminds me a bit on Mane.

Basically a taller/bigger version of Del.

People writing this lad off forget he is only 22. Many years yet to mature into a player so if he can do that then he will do it in a blue shirt.

speaking to a Watford fan in our office and he wasn't blown away by him but he thinks he's the sort of player that if he was in a top side he would look like a worldie because the talent is there. He could have been describing Geri.

He is ok to play wide and can stretch play when we need it and provide an out-ball. Absolutely not a striker.

In that sense I'm ok with it but its always a gamble taking on someone with a questionable attitude and work-rate. Managers can tinker with players positionally and through old-fashioned coaching and tactical and positional awareness to a degree but a poor attitude is much harder to do something about.

Towards the end of last season in the away games the majority of the team just looked completely not bothered and I struggle to see him being the sort to roll his sleeves up and put in a shift if we are having a difficult away day.

I understand people having opinions, I find it more difficult to understand that they cannot allow for their opinions being wrong.

My main memory of Niang is him choosing to join Milan instead of us and since then he has fallen off my radar.

Although it does seem an unusual signing and quite a hefty price it does show that either Walsh or Koeman or both think this lad has a lot to offer.
I took no notice of him at Watford, but loan deals can go well or badly and doesn't always reflect accurately on a player(Galloway at WBA).

For me, if it happens, it will be one of the more interesting signings.

If Del was 6ft and built, he'd be still here. He's not and neither is Lennon so both are out replaced by equally troubling players for different reasons.

In my opinion neither Del or Lennon are balanced players, they are front loaded with talent in certain areas, but accommodation comes with a sacrifice for the team to do that you need to be contributing within their realms of strength to be worthwhile which they haven't im talking goals and assists here. Entertaining and easy on the eye certainly but bottom line no consistent end product.

You have to be talented, consistent but also funtional in the modern game to succeed in my opinion. Unless your contribution of talent dictates otherwise, like a Ronaldo or Messi.

Niang i think is formative enough in developmet to have a pathway to balance.
