McCarthy to replace Fellaini?

I would sell Fellaini if we could take McCarthy + another quality CM (Holtby please) + quality winger (Moses please). Ideally, our midfield could look then:
McCarthy/Gibson - Holtby/Osman - Mirallas/Deulofeu, Barkley/Naismith, Pienaar/Moses - Kone/Jelavic/Anichebe

If possible sell Heitinga, buy Alderweireld and we are looking great.

I saw a player who is reasonably tidy in possession, playing a lot of neat square passes but lacking any creativity in the final third.

Honestly think someone like Lundstram from the reserves could do this type of job just as well.

I'm not saying he's rubbish but he's hardly a marquee signing you'd buy if you had Fellaini money burning your pocket

I'd rather we keep Fellaini to be honest and promote Francisco Junior to reserve CM status

Nothing against the lad, but it's not like we have a lot of money to spend on frivelous purchases

Every signing needs to be a good one and reasonably priced

As good as McCarthy is, and I'm not disputing his skill set, I just honestly think that we should be looking elsewhere.

Fellaini's come by very rarely. If we are going to sell him, we need to have someone up to his standard to replace him. McCarthy isn't there and I don't forsee him ever being so

The important thing is Bob likes him and wants him for he knows how to play in his team. I think some here should realize that Bob probably knows a bit more about football and footballers than they do. As for whoever said Lundstram could do the same, why not pass on your superior knowledge to Bob, I'm sure he'd be thrilled to know you've seen something he hasn't.

Are you even trying to suggest that in CM (not when Felli was playing off the striker) that this lad can hold a candle to him in terms of both ability & contribution?
