Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Margaritas next up mate. And I have a nice Cornish duck pate for supper that I may try a nice port with. The French have sweet dessert wine with foie gras but I don't have any.
oh now im Impressed , both with the port, dessert wine and margaritas . Dessert wine is proper under rated.

Thanks to lockdown I make a decent margarita , particularly a habanero one . I bought Habanero bitters which was a game changer . If you like spicy stuff I recommend it ?

I have ordinary bitters. Do you think that might enhance it. Never tried it with before. Hardest part for me is getting the salt to stick to the rim of the glass.

Yeah loads of different ones , the mole (chocolate one is nice ) the margarita served with a chilli and a little bit of that is lovely .

I just rim the glass with lime and then cover a saucer with rock/sea salt and keep doing it until it’s done .

Tried it with the bitters (which I think is orange based) and it sort of clashed with the lime. Still nice though.

Think I'll try the next one with a dash of honey liqueur I picked up on Malta.

Cheers mate.

The one I've just made with the honey liqueur is the dogs bollox mate. Best Margarita I've ever made and possibly the best I've tasted.

Deffo one for the special occasion though. There's 6 measures in every drink. lol
Well I don’t drink at home a lot unless I’m ‘entertaining’, I’m fairness I entertain a bit mind . I have just been on master of malt and ordered a honey liqueur, so I’ll be reporting back !

Good morning all ( afternoon for @Barnfred 55 ) on this very rainy day here in Hyvinkää .The roads should be fine if you like slipping around !Great to see @Barnfred 55 posting so upbeat on what is a hard day in ways ,although the love he shares with Cal makes it difficult to imagine him being down .A very well turned out steak if I may say and the pate and port made me jealous having just reembarked on my diet .On the subject of desert wines has anyone tried the Canadian frozen grape wine I think it is ice wine .I hope all had a good night and have a great day today .
