Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Just for those of you who expressed a interest Animals in Need made about £3800 today at their Christmas fair.
Bloody hard work but we'll worth it when you get a result like that.

Good night everyone and sleep tight , especially you Messy. Hope you are following all the kindness that your thread has inspired mate.
That's fantastic. You and Mrs J must be absolutely delighted with that - all the hard work was worth it.

That's excellent Jazzy you should be proud of yourselves.

Morning all.

My dog got me up frighteningly early this morning banging on the door , his way of telling me that he needs to go out for a wee!

He was probably reacting to having to go bed early last night as me and Mrs J were knackered after the Christmas fair.

Anyway I am awake so thought I'd be first to post today.

It seemed to be cold but dry when I let him out so hopefully it stays that way , well dry at least.

Big , big game for Benny boy tonight Messy.

After sacking Brands it looks like Moshiris gone all in on Benitez but I'm not sure that the crowd will accept another insipid display and poor result , let's see.

I hope everyone is fit and well and raring to go this week.

Fingers crossed for a short message from you Messy.

Take care everyone.

It will only work if he's given full control of the footballing side and he never was Anj. Having an interfering owner didn't help.
I think that's my issue with it. I don't really know what the role is supposed to be. It always sounds like one of those highly paid but meaningless jobs that the Civil Service likes to create and usually given to people who they can't/won't sack but are so incompetent that they get promoted out of the core business into a position where they can do very little damage! Cynical? Who me??

Theoretically the role of Director of Football is an excellent way of ensuring footballing continuity throughout the club regardless of a change of manager / academy director.

However as Fred absolutely correctly says it only works if the DoF has complete control without the owner interfering or 2nd guessing his decisions. It also helps if the DoF is competent!

Good morning everybody. Hope your weekends went well. Just dropped the other half off at work, the cat is looking like she's about to launch an attack on the Christmas tree and I'm logging on for work. Only a three day week for me this week. Having a couple of days off to sort out the last bits of Christmas shopping and I have a hair appointment. Wooo! Two more Christmas meals as well this week- one evening, one lunch.
Not even going to think about the match until about 5 minutes before kick off.

Have a lovely day and enjoy your down time this week.

Lovely that we share manic cats!

Morning Messy, Fred and everyone. Gloomy morning here weather wise but at least our outdoor lights shine brighter. We always switch them on so the children see them on their way to and from school. One little lad was so excited to see them it brought a smile to my face and brightened a dull morning. That makes the lights sound a lot more impressive than they are, it’s just a Christmas tree and lights round the bushes and house, it’s not one of those displays where people come from miles away. Here’s hoping we all have a smile after the match later ?. Hearing from you today though @messymascot would put the biggest smile of all on all our faces. Have a good day all.

Wow, it seems the bloody hard work has paid off. Well done, Jazzy and Mrs. J, and everyone else who work as hard as you two.
