Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

A bit late but I have a good excuse ,I have been up on a snow covered roof to retrieve our 4g box as the interweb had gone off .So back safe and it was of course the end of the cable next to the router inside the house but I needed to check that the sim card was working first .
So good morning to all on this bright and beautiful morning and I hope our @messymascot had a good night and is raring to go tonight .
Quite a day yesterday with Brands ,it seems he was not as much to blame as some think but as said above if they were doing his job then he deserves to go ,it does worry me that we seem to have an owner treating us like a new train set .Sadly the reality is that he can as he owns the place ,we are in a bit of a pickle but this is Everton f.c. and we have seen worse ,it is just hard when it happens but more to life than what happens next .
I hope all have a great day and congrats to @jazzy for a job well done .Stay strong Karl .
Thanks so much.

Not sure I could cope with such arduous weather mate.

Well, having just read both the clubs statement and Brands own personal statement, there's no doubt in my mind which of the two statements was the classier.

What I'm still unsure about is whether he walked, was pushed, or whether it was mutual. What do you reckon guys.?

I'd like to think that he had the honour and dignity to walk if he felt he was being prevented from doing his job , but who walks away from that sort of money.

I suspect that Benitez won that power struggle and that Brands will try to salvage his reputation by spilling the beans in the coming weeks.

Good morning Messy, Fred and the gang, cold and damp up here today, bit later logging on today been on to Wirral social services this morning, my mum and dad are 86 and 82 respectively, my mum has mobility problems and my dad is her carer, however my Dad himself is getting more doddery and fell whilst putting her mobility scooter in the back of the car and has been in hospital all weekend.
They are proud people and have never asked for social assistance but I'm stuck up here in Scotland and the time has come for them to at least be assessed and hopefully get some assistance in some way shape or form.
I've been assured someone will call me back today we'll wait and see.
Anyway, matchday and the first of now massive games coming up, we desperately need a win to cheer everyone up, a good performance would be a bonus, unfortunately I'm working but will record it and watch it at just after 10.
You all have a good day, Messy, it would be really good to hear from you, that would cheer us all far more than a win.
@blue1948 be careful up on that roof, remember what happened to Rod Hull.
@Sassy Colombian good of you to offer for match updates again, there is no end to your amazing talents.
Sorry to hear about your Mum and Dad. It is difficult when you live so far away. When my Mum was terminally ill I was driving to Liverpool most weekends. Not as far as Scotland of course. I can see the time coming when I'll have to do the more for my Dad. Also I don't thinknit is fair that just because my brother still lives in Liverpool he has to deal with everything. Hope they get the right support put in place.
Agree about the match tonight. Could be a defining moment. We so need to win.

Sorry to hear that mate. Are your parents in Liverpool? Are there any brothers/sisters close to care for them both?

My parents are both well gone now, but I was lucky in this regard. I'm the youngest of 7 including 3 older sisters and it's very often (not always) the girls who tend to take over in these circumstances. It was the opposite with Cal's parents where Cal did the bulk of it.

There's clearly been a massive falling out. I have to say I did not like club's statement. Very terse, almost like they found a template " how to say thank you when you don't really mean it" If Benitez has won the power struggle ( hasn't he also been instrumental in getting rid of the club doctor as well?) then I expect others to go. Unsworth and Big Dunc might be in the frame.

On the other hand if Brands has been responsible for our shambolic performance in the transfer market then I have no sympathy. We have wasted so much money in the recent past. Interesting times ahead.

Afternoon all,

@messymascot I see you're still logging in from time to time, so it's good to know you're reading our goodwill messages. Stay strong and keep fighting mate. We're all thinking of you. Let's hope our flaky football team manage to get a win tonight. @Reedy1979 any updates on Karl?

Well done @jazzy and Mrs J for all you did for charity over the week-end. You're both absolute stars.

@Earwigjoe we haven't seen you in this thread much lately mate. We're missing your insight and humour.

My 16 year old daughter is doing the second week of her mock exams this week, then they'll be over with and I'm expecting her already high pre-Christmas excitement levels to go through the roof. My 19 year old son will be back from Uni on the 14th, so I'm looking forward to that. Luckily, he doesn't bear me any resentment from inflicting a lifetime of supporting Everton on him. He video called us yesterday at 4.30pm and said he'd just got up after going to a party and was off to the pub at 5.30. Students, eh.

Yes it's really hard but thankfully you have a sibling to share the load.

Do you honestly think we will get a result tonight Ang?

I just cant see it , desperately hope that I'm wrong.

Might just have been me but i thought his statement said without saying, i have tried to reason with these idiots and get them to listen to me over the last 3 years but they havent, having to now deal with Benetiz and listen to the owner banging on about injuries and the second half of the season, i just relaised i cant take anymore so im outta here, wish ye the best but i know ye are goosed.
