Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning Messy, Fred and everyone. Gloomy morning here weather wise but at least our outdoor lights shine brighter. We always switch them on so the children see them on their way to and from school. One little lad was so excited to see them it brought a smile to my face and brightened a dull morning. That makes the lights sound a lot more impressive than they are, it’s just a Christmas tree and lights round the bushes and house, it’s not one of those displays where people come from miles away. Here’s hoping we all have a smile after the match later ?. Hearing from you today though @messymascot would put the biggest smile of all on all our faces. Have a good day all.
Beautifully put Gwlady

A bit late but I have a good excuse ,I have been up on a snow covered roof to retrieve our 4g box as the interweb had gone off .So back safe and it was of course the end of the cable next to the router inside the house but I needed to check that the sim card was working first .
So good morning to all on this bright and beautiful morning and I hope our @messymascot had a good night and is raring to go tonight .
Quite a day yesterday with Brands ,it seems he was not as much to blame as some think but as said above if they were doing his job then he deserves to go ,it does worry me that we seem to have an owner treating us like a new train set .Sadly the reality is that he can as he owns the place ,we are in a bit of a pickle but this is Everton f.c. and we have seen worse ,it is just hard when it happens but more to life than what happens next .
I hope all have a great day and congrats to @jazzy for a job well done .Stay strong Karl .

Good morning @messymascot and fellow Blues. I hope everyone is having a lovely morning and are not fearful of today’s match. After Brands departure I wonder if there will be more shaking happening at the top? I also wonder if the 27th minute campaign is going to put more pressure on the club. Hopefully everything goes smoothly with it, we certainly don’t need a human tragedy this afternoon from such movement. What do some of you think of it? Karl, have your heard about it?

Still is dark here as I’m up again way too early but at least I got to rest very well all weekend. It seems it’s also going to be rainy and gray day in our area but we been having sunny warm days all weekend so I can’t complain. Today besides work, I need to begin packing our luggage and do some cooking but my arm is super sore this morning from the booster shot I got yesterday. Then later I will be going on a pampering trip to get a full body massage so I won’t be here to post about the whole match but if you can’t watch it @messymascot I’ll be glad to post updates for the first half. Xx

Morning all.

My dog got me up frighteningly early this morning banging on the door , his way of telling me that he needs to go out for a wee!

He was probably reacting to having to go bed early last night as me and Mrs J were knackered after the Christmas fair.

Anyway I am awake so thought I'd be first to post today.

It seemed to be cold but dry when I let him out so hopefully it stays that way , well dry at least.

Big , big game for Benny boy tonight Messy.

After sacking Brands it looks like Moshiris gone all in on Benitez but I'm not sure that the crowd will accept another insipid display and poor result , let's see.

I hope everyone is fit and well and raring to go this week.

Fingers crossed for a short message from you Messy.

Take care everyone.
I'm interested to know which paw your dog uses to bang on the door. Is he right pawed or left pawed?

Theoretically the role of Director of Football is an excellent way of ensuring footballing continuity throughout the club regardless of a change of manager / academy director.

However as Fred absolutely correctly says it only works if the DoF has complete control without the owner interfering or 2nd guessing his decisions. It also helps if the DoF is competent!
In fairness we have no idea if he was competent or not because he was never allowed to do the job and had little control over player recruitment. I'm not saying he would have been good. Just saying that we don't know.

All I can say is Lucky masseur. lol

Have a lovely day and enjoy your down time this week.

Lovely that we share manic cats!
Ours is a lunatic. Very friendly, never gets her claws out - apart to see off the very many small to medium sized rodents that inhabit the farmland surrounding our house. However she wants to be involved in everything, follows me like a dog and is an absolute drama queen. So demanding. She's tortoiseshell. Somebody told me they are renowned for being bonkers and said Google tortitude. I did. It's her.

Good morning Messy, Fred and the gang, cold and damp up here today, bit later logging on today been on to Wirral social services this morning, my mum and dad are 86 and 82 respectively, my mum has mobility problems and my dad is her carer, however my Dad himself is getting more doddery and fell whilst putting her mobility scooter in the back of the car and has been in hospital all weekend.
They are proud people and have never asked for social assistance but I'm stuck up here in Scotland and the time has come for them to at least be assessed and hopefully get some assistance in some way shape or form.
I've been assured someone will call me back today we'll wait and see.
Anyway, matchday and the first of now massive games coming up, we desperately need a win to cheer everyone up, a good performance would be a bonus, unfortunately I'm working but will record it and watch it at just after 10.
You all have a good day, Messy, it would be really good to hear from you, that would cheer us all far more than a win.
@blue1948 be careful up on that roof, remember what happened to Rod Hull.
@Sassy Colombian good of you to offer for match updates again, there is no end to your amazing talents.

Our tortie died a month ago. Molly was terror. She loved me but wouldn't let Mrs J touch her.

Susie our other cat is a black witches cat , a sweetie in the house but like yours a killer out doors.

Sorry to hear about your dad and the problems with Social Services.
I hope your dad gets better soon and things resolv themselves.
It is so difficult looking after parents at distance.
When my dad was dying from cancer I was driving down to Plymouth every weekend. Really tough.
