Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven


Had a very busy day, sorted out my wife in the morning, then my son took over, visited the doctors for my own blood tests, picked up a barrel of beer from the suppliers that another pub had loaned us and dropped it off at their pub. Then drove to a hospital to be with my mate for a few hours who was having an operation this evening, then back to our pub to get our new manager up to speed. Finally, stayed behind ( I locked up) with another mate and his wife in the pub who is getting the prognosis for his cancer tomorrow. I’m bleeding shattered….,

Morning all, yesterday was a perfect Autumn day and the weather forecast is equally good for today, so we’re going to make the most of it by…..doing more decorating! Daughter has decided that the dining area looks so good the kitchen needs doing, to be honest I always thought that would be the case so I’m not surprised. Anyway it’s another job for Bodger and Badger lol .
@peteblue , so sorry you weren’t able to pick up your granddaughter yesterday hope you can today. Hope the news for your mate is as good as it can be. As others have said, take care of yourself, not easy I know but sometimes we need to put ourselves first if only for a short while.

I know you can’t ration your care but you absolutely must look after yourself too. It’s world mental health day today and I know this does nothing to help you personally but it’s an indicator of how important it is for us all to look after our health both physically and mentally. I hope you can find a way to put your own health higher up the priority list as it sounds like you are the rock for quite a few people. Please take care.
 

Thanks all, just got back from the chiropodist from my wife’s appointment. Anyway my mate had a successful operation and is coming out of hospital a little later, I’m going to have to pick him up so once again I shall miss out on picking up my granddaughter. I’ll definitely make it tomorrow…I hope………

Evening all,

Been a busy old day!

Bit tired after a brilliant but hectic weekend. Replenished mums provisions and then cleared out the bedroom and kitchen/ utility room ready for the decorator.
Managed to wash and dry the holidays clothes and house-sitters bedding and finally cut the grass.

A relaxing evening of TV awaits.

The girls new single is out mate. It's about rebellion against a Catholic education so may not be your cup of tea. It's decent though, probably the best they've released. It's on Spotify but try and catch the video on YouTube. Don't think it's quite appropriate to post in here as it's like a cross between Dracula and the Exorcist.lol I posted it yesterday in the what you're listening to thread.
