Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Lanyard is another word which amuses me like I’m 12. For most people it is the string around your neck that you connect a security pass to. Something very different in Irish slang, maybe even UK slang too.

The day I was asked if I would like a rainbow lanyard nearly resulted in me needing oxygen.
I always thought it was a naval term.

By the way, hope you've stashed that crossbow somewhere safe🙂

Amazed that they bring their beef in from England. Can't imagine the local farmers would be happy. If that was France they would burn the place down

Hereford cattle is a breed - it doesn't mean the animal lived in Hereford !! Maybe you're deliberately being facetious?? 😊

All ingredients are from within 80 km where possible - wines excepted naturally.

Plenty of beef farmers in Co Kilkenny and Tipperary (next door). Our own next neighbours are beef and sheep farmers. I very much doubt if they use anything other than Irish meat and fish in the restaurant.

As if I would be facetious?

Now if it was Fred.......

Did you go over the Kirkstone Pass Val? Used to often stay in The Queens Head
Yes we did. The car park half way across was being used as a site to support the road works there so we couldn’t stop as we usually do. The waterfalls were lovely due to all the rain we’ve been having. I love the run down from Penrith to Ambleside its so beautiful and relatively quiet. Is the Queens Head the one in Troutbeck?
