Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

@Armaghtoffee Good win last night , haven't seen the game so can't really comment on the display.

Hope you had a super day and got / get home safely in the storm. Some really bad flooding your way so take care mate.

@Val P and @anjelikaferrett pupdates! Wilson has a viewing on Saturday, Mrs J has high hopes. Even better did you see Spirit on the FB page? A gorgeous young dog who had been terribly abused and completely emaciated. She has been on a drip and needs 8 small meals a day to build her up. Despite that she has a beautiful nature. Anyway Mrs J got her a home with a lovely lady from Ainsdale. Really makes your day when you get good news stories like that.

So , going to be a wet and windy day out there so take care everyone , especially @Barnfred 55 with those 90 mph winds down there.

Oh that's so lovely. I hope Wilson gets adopted too.

Good trip then AT ?, very professional performance I thought although we almost played down to their level after the first goal. Safe journey home.
Great so far Big J. Lovely day on the ale and taking in the sights. Had a fantastic meal in Casa Italia then what else can you say about a 3-0 win like that!!??!!

Dreading the flight home though with the wind. Barely made it to the airport with the flooding and it could be a long way home.

That’s brilliant news for Wilson, and yes I did see Spirit bless her little cotton socks - I love a happy ending. I must admit it’s tearing me in half about Rex - I’ve shared the post and keeping everything crossed for him 💙

Cheers mate. Yeah the last few hours have been an experience. Woke up about 4am due to the wind and heavy rain. There was a lot of banging going on outside and I dreaded to think what was happening. There was no way I was sleeping through that so i started playing the word game on my phone, then everything literally went black. Still have very little power now, but at least my fridge/freezer is working and I have wifi. But no hot water, coffee maker, kettle, cooker, lighting or TV. I'm working on my battery on both the PC and mobile so need to conserve both. Can't even play my music. Rob said the leccy should be back on by 7pm

I can have a butty for lunch and I'm out at a Round Table event with Rob later so tea's sorted. May have to have a cold wash in the sink later if the water isn't back on. Looking forward to thatlol. At least the worst of the weather has passed. You lot probably having it now I would imagine. Take care everybody. especially AT on your journey.

Good afternoon all. Hope you're OK @Barnfred 55 and your electricity comes back on. We've just had really heavy rain for what seems like days!
@Armaghtoffee glad you got to see a decent win. I was quite surprised at the stat that Sean Dyche has never been in a cup quarter final.
Currently watching the cricket ( no surprise there). However it is the interval in the Sri Lanka v India match. Sachin Tendulkar and Murali Muralitharan ( v. dodgy spelling) are being interviewed about the work they are doing with Unicef- equality for girls and boys and allowing children to be children are high on their priorities. It is really good stuff. Tendulkar is like a god in India so having him on board such an initiative is so good.
I have discovered lentil curls from Lidl. They are amazing and only 88 calories a bag. They might break my crisp addiction 🤣.
