Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning all, cold and bright here this morning. Had a call from grandkid no4 yesterday, excited to tell me that she has been chosen to be Mary in the school nativity again. There is hardly a wide choice of candidates as there are only 7 girls and 23 boys in the class. She did tell her teacher she was Mary last year, he replied that she would be a very good Mary having had the part before. I’m very pleased for Jess but there’s a bit of me that thinks it would have been fairer if another little girl had the chance…
Have a good day all.💙
Thinking of you and Daisy @Terrarian.

Morning everyone,

Well I've had this virus for a week now. Yes I feel.a but better but still nowhere near back to normal so it sounds like I did indeed get what @Val P had - she's such a generous girl!

The good news is that despite feeling ropey for a couple of days Mrs J hasn't got the dreaded lurgy.

Still not heard from @Terrarian - come on fella get in touch and let us know that you are ok.

Also , I'm not sure that @Barnfred 55 has posted much recently, is everything alright mate?

I was intending to continue to report on what I've noticed since I stopped drinking but a bit pointless this week as I've felt so bad anyway.

Well virus or not I have to do some housework and leaf collection today.

Also my turn to cook tonight so it's taco time

At least there's no Everton to wreck your weekend ( although the past few weekends have been good) and if I feel up to it I'm off the Acoustica audio show in Chester tomorrow.

Anyway have a lovely day everyone.

Sorry guys, I meant to post. Been trying to support my sister with dad, he's got vascular dementia, it took for that diagnosis to come through for her to start getting somewhere as they were happy to pile him off on her despite her health conditions. She's really stressed and it's making her ill and his true personality is shining through, nasty and horrible man he is.

Just had a phone call saying my neighbour(the one who makes me xmas dinner) had died, I feel a bit bad as she tried ringing me a couple of times last few days and I didn't answer and I hope she didn't need help.

Anyway, I'm ok just fed up of being at home all the time but it is what it is.

Oh mate that's a sad turn of events. Weather's good this afternoon, a big walk with Daisy to blow away the cobwebs?

My neighbour going has shocked me a bit, I'm ok with death as you know but thinking she may have needed help and I couldn't be arsed is a bit of a downer.

We'll be out as always, do you know it's been that wet this summer we barely got up the fields and stuff, the place is a mud bath.

Oh T. Really feeling for you mate. And don't get yourself too tied up with any sort of guilt syndrome. I've been there and it isn't healthy. Take care mate.

That’s tough on you mate. I know what you mean about being stuck at home, sun was shining at 9 am , planned a walk , then mist came down, sun has just come out so am going for that walk! Hope you and Daisy can manage to get out , I‘m a great believer in sunshine/ daylight helping our mood in these gloomy November days.

The one sort of constant I have is walking Daisy, especially now I've been out of work a while, she is locked into a routine, she's struggled with the clocks going back this time but walking her four/five times a day have got to be done as I don't have a yard or garden. So no matter how crap I feel I walk daily still.

That’s great , you’ve inspired me , I’m off for that walk on the sunshine now 👍🙂

Tbh Jazzy, a little trade secret, it’s the alcohol that keeps the virus away…it’s your own fault mate…….
