Can I come? Sounds like a great day outMorning all, not quite so hot as yesterday which is a relief as we are having grandkids nos 3&4 for the day. A bus ride is on the agenda, just what I need on a hot day! They have a bus pass which enables them to travel for £1 so are keen to use them. I’m guessing they will have the pass but not the required money for the fare. They don’t know today’s itinerary, I’ve told them it will be a mystery day. I’ve booked tickets for the Monsters of the Sea exhibition at the Cathedral so at least it will be cool in there. We are also going to a Railways of Peterborough exhibition at the Museum which I’m guessing won’t be so popular as the Monsters exhibition but that’s a risk you take if you leave Nanny in charge of events.
Have a good day, all.
Enjoy Fred.Boardmasters, a surfing/music festival held annually in Cornwall finished on Sunday, and you want to see the absolute mess that they have left. I swear there must be around 5000 abandoned tents amongst tons of other waste and rubbish. This is supposed to be a "green" festival but obviously nobody informed the festival attendees of that, and not for the first time either. Now I have a lot of time for our youngest generation and I'm embarrassed at the state of our country, and the world in general, that we are leaving for them to pick up the pieces. But this is one area where they consistently let themselves down.
On a brighter note, I'm attending my own festival tonight. It's Falmouth week and I have tickets to watch "Rock Night" which is showing Foo Fighters and ACDC cover bands. So it's a curry, a few beers and a bit of head banging for me.

I think a stage collapsed.Enjoy Fred.
Weren't there crush injuries at Boardmasters this year too?
A DJ set at one if the minor stages late night. It was a crowd surge with a few minor injuries. It's a very young age set for thus festival and from what I gather it was drink/drug fuelled. Very minor incident by all accounts.Enjoy Fred.
