Afternoon guys. I have some sad news to share with you. My brother in law up in Ambleside had a sudden and very quick downturn in his health over the weekend, as is so often the case with cancer. Sadly he passed during the night, peacefully whilst under medication. I'm still going ahead with my plans to visit Liverpool and Ambleside over the next week, but regretfully I won't get to see my BIL, which was the main purpose of going. I'll still get to attend my niece's 30th and catch up with family, and then get to see my other sister in Ambleside and spend some time with her, so it isn't all bad.

Anyway, I'll try and catch up with you before I go on Thursday. 💙

That is the pits, once you know you aegoing home you just want to get there asap - that is a nightmare
 
Morning all. Leaving at 9 am for the flight home today. Hopefully no delays like poor @anjelikaferrett and do hope you get home today. On Monday night we got an emergency alert which goes to everyone’s phones warning us of extreme weather conditions and I just thought yea a bit of a storm coming. How wrong was I, we had 6 solid hours of literally non stop lightening, thunder, wind, rain. I’ve never seen anything like it - scary and spectacular at the same time. Then last night was a perfect balmy evening for our last meal at the local taverna looking at beautiful sky.
Batteries now recharged, let the grandparenting madness begin.

Oh no it's always horrible when you are delayed and messed around. Hope things go smoothly today.

Morning everyone,

Well I have to say it quietly but I sold my car yesterday and I'm without a motor , yep as the late George Michael said "Car less whisper " , oh well suit yourselves.

New one , well newish, lined up for tomorrow but today I need to go cap in hand to Mrs J to borrow my old , her new car to go to the gym and then take mum to the doctor's.

Thunderstorms forecast for today so don't think I will be doing much gardening 😂.

Thought Carsley's England looked good last night I'd welcome him as Everton's next manager . Time to play Dreams by Fleetwood Mac.
