Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Yeah you're probably right blue but at least it stops her eating anything else. I couldn't muzzle her, I only agree with muzzling aggressive dogs and that is one thing daisy isn't, she's the softest dog you'll ever meet. Hasn't got an aggressive bone in her body.

I would bet everything I own if someone can make her angry, it won't happen, she's awesome like that. Even outside, she just avoids dogs that are aggressive, she has no time for it.
I accept totally what you say it was just your state of mind or her stomach I was thinking of .Your love for her shines out and I love that .Perhaps @Val P could offer advice as she walks dogs often .

Tell you what, I am almost tempted to put my heating on today, it's cold, I hate doing it before october really though however I had a bit of good news last week, I had a letter off Utilita saying they were knocking my direct debit down to £46 from £62.

So I thought I would go on the app and look at a breakdown to see why it happened and I found out I am £114 in credit :D I have got that down from about£1800 debit, so I am very pleased, to get that much in credit however, I noticed they are still taking arrears off my universal credit the cheeky sods.

I might just leave it though as I'll only have to start paying more when cold weather hits and I may be able to have the heating on more with no worries.

We are £270 in credit and Octopus want to put the direct debit up £6 a month to keep us on track, cheeky bu**ers. They can’t process a refund online because of an “issue” with our meter. We have to ring the helpline - which is currently experiencing high demand🤬.

That sucks G, I can't moan at utilita, considering i ran up such a debt they've always been reasonable about repayments and have never made me go on a pre-paid meter and they decrease my DD whenever they feel they can so I've been fairly lucky that I had time to clear my debt without a load of stress.

Good morning all, it's a cold but sunny one today, the temp has definitely dropped.

Just went for a walk but cut it short after the beagle ate a chocolate cookie off the floor, got it before I even knew it was there and as usual totally ignores me asking her to drop it so she loses out on a nice walk, I have started doing it, every time she eats something and I tell her to drop it, if I get ignored she loses out. petty I know but it's been the cause of a lot of my stress recently.

I wonder what the atmosphere at the football will be like today, do we think a weight has been lifted with Friedkin buying us? It's going to be much better when we have professional people in key positions, I'd personally ditch Dyche but what will be will be I guess, if I paid millions for a club and had to watch Dyche's football I wouldn't put up with it.

Have a good day all.
Cautious optimism will be the vibe today I think. Light at the end of the tunnel but we need to start picking up points today.

I can’t see Dyche lasting long once this deal goes through. In fact, lose today and TFG will reasonably tell Moshiri to pull the trigger.

Hi everybody. Its a lovely bright sunny day today. Freezing but bright- a proper autumn day. @Terrarian I love Daisy- she sounds like such a character, in the nicest way imaginable.
I've had the heating on for a couple of hours for the last two days. It has been freezing. I've broken my self- imposed rule of no heating until October! I'm with Scottish Power- a fixed rate until June next year. I can't complain about them. You can monitor your credit and debit on their app and change your direct debit accordingly. We're currently £200 in credit but that will help towards winter.
I'm sorry to hear about your son having such a tough time @blue1948. Just be there for him. My great niece who is 3 is autistic. She doesn't speak and lives in her own little bubble. She's so sweet. My brother gets quite upset when people ask what she calls him because she doesn't- they have a good relationship though. She will go to him and show him things.
On the subject of Christmas I've just been to the pub near here and booked a Christmas meal for our friendship group. There's 11 of us. So Christmas is coming. Unfortunately @Armaghtoffee I am one of the December Christmas shopping mugs! However I do have a reasonable excuse- I save up with a woman in work and she pays out in earrly December. I've been doing It for years. £50 a month= nice little fund for spending!
I see Branthwaite is back. I also have cautious optimism. COYB!

Good morning all on this fine day here .I hope all had a good night and have a special day today .I see @Val P seems to have something special to occupy her time instead of us on here ,so she should ! Hopefully @Barnfred 55 has recovered a little after his ten hour slog home . Have a great day all we are ready to watch Countryfile ,the only thing to get the missus out of bed early besides a holiday . COYB

Morning all,

Bit of a boozy day yesterday. It was the annual Cricket club presentation night so after listening to the Everton game I had a couple of beers at the do. Good night all round although I'm still struggling to understand why they had the presentation outside ( it was dry but bloody freezing) when they have a perfectly good clubhouse.

Much needed 3 points yesterday and Dyche created history with his first ever Everton win after going behind. Amazing that it's taken him so long - it's not as if we haven't been behind quite often.

Anyway off to a record fair in Southport today so that should be fun but some of the prices they charge for vinyl nowadays is outrageous. Good job Mrs J isn't coming!

Anyway have a lovely day everyone.

Morning all, just catching up after a bit of a busy week.
So sorry to hear about your friend @peteblue, I was at a funeral this week and as much as death is an inevitable part of life it is so hard to take. Take heart that your son has at least read your post @blue1948, he’ll be working things through in his own way although that must be so hard for you. Glad to hear from you @Terrarian. Thinking of you @Barnfred 55 and hope you are bearing up this week.
As you can imagine I’ve been spending time with my beautiful granddaughter, I find it so hard to stop looking at her she just fills me with wonder.
This week is the start of an expensive car month for us. Both mine and my husband’s cars have to have services and new cam belts (?) fitted and it made my eyes water when they said how much it was going to be.
Great afternoon at GP yesterday, what a relief- 15th sounds quite respectable compared to recent times.
Have a lovely Sunday everyone 💙

I accept totally what you say it was just your state of mind or her stomach I was thinking of .Your love for her shines out and I love that .Perhaps @Val P could offer advice as she walks dogs often .
It’s a tricky one that. I think you would have to teach her the drop it command in a different environment and then apply it when you are walking. Good luck @Terrarian, she’s mustard isn’t she bless her 💙

Morning all, lovely day yesterday - wall to wall sunshine and a great result but we are back to cloud again this morning. Today I will mostly be baking cakes. Need to keep up supplies as Hannah’s new school is at the top of our road, she calls in on her way home and always asks for a cup of tea and a slice of cake. Don’t know what her friends would make of her snack choices, tea and cake isn’t very cool.
@Barnfred 55 hope you arrived home safe and sound and are having a good rest.
@Val P good to hear from you, sounds as though you are in for an expensive time although I know absolutely nothing about cars. Other than they are big/small and the colour..
Have a good day, all💙
