The stream at the bottom of my sons garden in Newburgh is causing us a bit of concern at the moment

It has been torrential for the last 24 hours. Supposed to stop raining around 4am. Then dry for 3 days

I can’t imagine the stress levels of those in areas with the potential of water breaching their homes.

According to the apple app it should be stopping later tonight so we’ve got our fingers crossed. Our patio is under water at the moment but it’s not high enough to cause any problems apart from to our garden furniture which we wished we’d brought in for winter at the weekend. I’m sure we’ll be fine but it has been torrential as @jazzy says.

Garden furniture is sturdy so hopefully needs nothing more than a rub down. Hindsight is a great thing though.

Bottom of our garden flooded ( by the summerhouse if you remember Anj) but it is a 10 foot drop from the house to there so we should be fine.

A very sensible woman. Despite living in a lovely house in a nice village Mrs J likes to watch Escape to the Country and always likes houses near a babbling brook or river to which I reply " flood risk " .

Sorry mate, been a tiring day. I’ve got to get my wife sorted out tomorrow then my lad will look after her before I’m off to visit another mate In hospital then meet up with the Brewers for the pub….
