I wishI actually thought you were the blonde lady doing the team news and getting the kids to give their ill informed score predictions but then realised that she didn't have a Wigan accent![]()

Loved that Hari Krishna chant.Although not from Liverpool my Everton journey started in the 60ās, if ever asked why , well the long answer is complicated so I give the short one ā How could you not love a team who had a player called The Golden Vision ?ā
I would say I hit my peak in the Catterick era and the 69/70 team and ā GordonwesttommywrightkeithnewtonHoward kendalbrian labone colinharveyjimmyhusband Alan balljoeyroyle johnnyhurst jonnymorrisseyHarryCatteric, ā¦.Harrycattericharrycatteric Harry Catterick to the tune of Hare Krishna still trips off my tongue .! Those early ā70s were a bit dire but I followed them home and away until moving south in 77 . Thereafter it was mainly away matches in London and the S East . The Kendall era was magnificent, but kids , family life and feeling definitely on edge exiting away grounds in a different direction from other Evertonians gradually reduced my live match attendance. Butā¦.once a Blue always a Blue , although for 5 minutes once I did contemplate turning, but thatās another story!
Yes indeed , Iāve had the Sandy Brown / Keith Newton conversation a few times , Sandy is obviously right too , I know Newton joined us half way through the League winning season so I think Brown played more games that season , Newton the next . I remember Sandy always had his own two liner of ā Whoās the player with the most? Sandy Brown with beans on toast!ā Happy daysLoved that Hari Krishna chant. It trips seamlessly from my tongue too, (although I struggle to remember what I had for breakfast)
Personally I always include Sandy Brown rather than Kieth Newton though.
Remember that well, and after the game Sandy was thumbing a lift I stopped and said which way you heading Sandy , he said donāt you startI still remember the diving header that Sandy Brown scored for Liverpool against us at GP. Morning Pete. It has been a hard year for you but remember you have those season tickets for Bramley Moore to watch a new team under a new manager. Itās the little things I guess.Morning everyone on the last day of this horrible year, I canāt wait to see the back of itā¦ā¦.
putting that off until ThursdayToday sees the start of taking down the Christmas decorations. What is a joyous task putting them up becomes such a downer having to undo it all. Such is life.
Took all morning to do most of inside but itās the outside ones tomorrow that will prove more tricky! I have tried my best not to cross over any of the strings but I think the wind may have undone all my best laid plans.putting that off until Thursday
