Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning all, in the words of the song - I can see clearly now the rain has gone”. It’s a clear sky and the sun is just coming up, best part of the day. Trip to the garden centre may be on the agenda. The husband is keen to plant some more daffodils, when he can get on the garden to put them in that is - it’s a bit muddy to say the least!
Have a good day all.💙

We’ve been lucky with our weather this week to the extent that on my run yesterday my head was full of an old John Denver song : “ Sunshine, on my shoulders makes me happy …..Sunshine , almost all the time makes me high.” I like grabbing my fill of sunshine/ vitamin D before the winter hits 🌞

When we used to ski in Saalbach there was a guy who let me sing "Take me home country road " in the apre ski that is a full volume ,the next morning I could hardly speak A,a John Denver fan here .

While I knew of John Denver in the 70s , it was an old girl friend who introduced me to his vinyl albums in the early ‘80s , I loved songs back then like “ I’m sorry” , Rocky Mountain high etc. Given modern technology blue I’m sure we would all love it if you were to post a reprise video 🙂

Good morning all on this fine day here .I hope all had a good night and have a fine day today .
On this karaoke thing .I have a machine that has stopped working but as I also have a 4000 song set of discs I am reluctant to go the internet route .Sadly CD-G machines do not seem to made anymore so finding a used one is proving illusive . I could buy a mixer and connect it up to the home system but it is the discs getting thrown away that is galling me ,they were not expensive but I hate waste .I should see @jazzy if they get one in the charity shop . I am still scouring the web . Have a great day all COYB

There is definitely a couple on Amazon blue.

Morning all, another bright start to the day that’s the weather - not me. My brother recorded 152mm of rainfall last month - the wettest ever month in the twenty or so years he’s been doing it. 152mm might seem chicken feed to those of you in wetter climes but that’s 3x the average for September here. Hopefully the rain will stay away for a bit, the forecast is good for the next few days at least. Youngest granddaughters are already getting fired up for Halloween. I already have the full details of the costumes they’ve picked, characters from some film or TV show I’d never heard of. I just nodded politely and said Ooh yes in what I hoped was the right places. I don’t really get all the fuss. In my day Halloween decorations consisted of a hollowed out sugar beet and a cut down candle and we’d never heard of trick or treat! Simple pleasures.😂
Have a good day,all.💙

I don't think I've ever seen a karaoke machine in the shop , they are a discerning lot in Formby you know.

Yeah they much prefer a cased Geisha doll, silver cutlery , cut glass and an antique jardiniere ( a bit like Everton , if you know you know don't you @anjelikaferrett 😂).

However I will keep my eye out for such a machine for Kylie wannabes like you Blue. Postage might be a bit steep though mate.

As well as mum having her flu and COVID jabs yesterday I had mine done too ( as mum's carer ) and boy does my arm hurt this morning.

No other side effects though.

Weather is lovely again , we will enjoy it while we can as it's back to normal week and windy tomorrow.

Everton v Newcastle, no Branthwaite no points I suspect.

Have a lovely day everyone.

I’ve now got this vision of the elderly discerning residents of Formby doing “ Nessun Dorma” around their opera -only karaoke machine - I like this thread , you can go from John Denver to Turandot in the blink of an eye 😉
