Morning dark, wet and gloomy here. No playing outside today. The forecast is for freezing temperatures tonight which on wet, leaf covered pavements is going to make walking out over the next few days interesting to say the least. The ad was on here when I arrived ,it was a fit guy getting his kit off not realising she was there and when he turned around she gave that look .

Morning all , a smattering of something white on the ground here, and I have to go out running soon so it’s full multi layers gear as a -5 c wind chill is showing. And I’ve got a Covid/flu jab later to drive to so can’t wait to long for things to warm up. Have a good day everybody.

Just tuning in to the forum's weather channel. Very mild 10 degrees down here but absolutely pissing down. However I managed to get the grass (weeds) cut during the recent dry spell so all is good.

Happily I managed to wrap my bananas in time - oh matron - and no G that's not a euphemism for anything other than my garden .

Anyway the roads are all clear but the fields and hills look like a winter wonderland.

Good job I've got loads of logs to keep my fire going and don't have to rely upon expensive central heating.

Our lovely IT system crashed this afternoon so I finished early- as soon as the suggestion ' there's plenty of e learning you could all do' was mentioned.

There's something quite lovely about sitting in front of a log fire , with a dog sat peacefully next to you and listening to the radio in fading light.

Reading this made me think of the A Team when they could make a tank out of items commonly found in a garden shed. There is seemingly nothing you cannot do blue. God I wish I was handy.

There are lots of things but I don't mention them ,well painting for a start not the house type the easel .

Funny you mention that, while having no talent for art myself, I do find painting quite therapeutic. Now I only get the chance to do this while minding my younger relations but enjoyable all the same.

Yankee now have a candle that smells like paint- ‘Art in the park’.

Going to Phoenix in Feb/March , been a few times our mate has a place there, it will probably be -25 here so that’s a good swing of temperature
