Morning all, sun is up but wind is Baltic. Yesterday I opted to run on the treadmill in the gym weather was so bad , the first time ever I’ve made that deliberate choice. The last time I used a treadmill was on a cruise 8 years ago, I think I’m going to brave the weather and go back outside for my easy run today . Have a great day all
So sad to hear best wishes all the way from Finland for her .Morning all, bright and sunny here. Not quite such an early start, no school run (teacher’s training day) and son’s day off so no dog-sitting. May take a trip into town to pick up a few Christmas bits. Have a good day, all.

Update on son’s MIL - the operation showed that things are more complicated than first thought, so she has been referred back to Addenbrokes and is waiting on the results of another scan.

Me and Mrs J out to lunch today , Italian tapas which is a new one on me. Very good though.
So ce soir it's just me and Kate. Excuse me I may be some time ( to very badly paraphrase Captain Oates).
Tomorrow I'm participating in a table tennis coaching masterclass ( I'm watching and learning).
Anyway have a lovely evening and weekend everyone.

Baccaro at the bottom if Castle Street has been there a while and is very good. It was probably our fave Liverpool restaurant at the time we moved down to Cornwall. Luca's on Allerton Road is also very good. Both are very expensive if you follow their guidelines to get 3 dishes each (which is probably equivalent to a starter and a main.

Pesto in Appley Bridge is , I suspect, a lot cheaper.
3 lunch menus , 3 small plates for £11 , 13 or 15.
Of course being the greedy pig that I am I had to order a 4th Gambas because it was only on the a la carte.
Stunning value , I have to report that the small plates weren't that small either.
And a very good glass of Sangiovese
