Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning. Sun ‘s not bothering to come up today . Bert has caused us to cancel our planned train trip to Inverness to take in Christmas market etc . We’re definitely showing signs of age, for about 15 years we’ve regularly spent two or three nights in Inverness in December just chilling soaking up the Christmas spirit, see a show, meals etc but I think it’ll be just a day visit this year.
Well at least I’ll get to watch the Brentford game 😳

Couldn't agree more DE, we've fallen so far since that brilliant team of the 80s .
However what was it Winston Churchill said ..." It's always darkest before the dawn".

Let's hope dawn breaks with TFG.
“ " It's always darkest before the dawn". My brain works differently, I immediately associated this with the Mamas &Papas “ Dedicated to the one I love “ , sorry Winston ☺️

Morning everyone,

Well Bert's arrived and he's a bit rude .

Wind everywhere and worse than spitting.

Unfortunately I've got to brave the elements today .

Stay safe and dry everyone.
Yeah, 60pmh gusts down here. Southerlies though so quite mild (15 C) but doesn't feel it. Wind and rain is such a horrible combination, and although I mentioned battening down the hatches yesterday, I won't be taking my own advice. The neighbour called last night and said they had a spare ticket for Murder at the Orient Express theatre play in Truro and would I like to go. One look outside this morning and I'm sorry I said yes now. Hopefully the trip to Truro will be uneventful. It's a matinee and getting picked up at 1pm so it's an early posh sausage butty for me today.

At least I'll be avoiding the match. :)

Maybe worth the 3,000 mile trip to your place just for a posh sausage butty , and fish and chips without the chips ;)

Back at it today isn’t it sad when it’s the international break and we can’t get beat,

It’s should a sad scenario that we have come to this , I was at the cup winners cup final when we won it in Rotterdam, and we have had some great teams since then ,now we have to worry if we can beat the likes of Ipswich Southampton Leicester and the list goes on

Hopefully the new owners 🤞 can put us back where we belong, anyway we are all Blues together and we live in hope

Totally agree. I was at the 84 Cup Final. How far removed are we from those days.

Thank you we are just on our way home. The weather is currently calm and warm which is more than I can say about the atmosphere in the car 😂.
Oh dear. Not seen the score yet. Started cooking tea when I got home (takes about 2 hours) and think I'll get back to the stove and carry on enjoying my beer and 80s playlist. Checked the score during tge interval in the play and it was still scoreless. Sadly the play wasn't any better either..😀

Guess I'm not watching MOTD again.

Youa nd the rest of the fans who attend I hold in the highest esteem @Val P ,I went for many many years but never had too endure this rubbish for so long .
My proudest moment on a personal level was that I just couldn't sign the Howard Kendall petition -thankfully there were many more like me .This must be hard to to watch ,I was thinking how to describe the team plan today as we do have talent, all I could think was courage ,courage to go forward instead of the easy option of sideways or even worse back when under no real pressure .Oh for a backroom staff who first of all believe in them to go forward or at least believe in themselves to teach the players that the only way to win is to score .
I thought we were a little unlucky at times but against ten men we should have wated to go forward .
Still Sean and his mottley keep picking players not up to it and we can only hope Friedkins stop that with a big boot.
Have a special evening blues .
