No idea why I put a laughing emoji on that post mate. What do you call two thieves who steal underwear?
A pair of knickers.
An afternoon minding my nieces and this is what I have to offer the forum

Let me tell you, I have fully earned the drink I shall soon be pouring. No idea why I put a laughing emoji on that post mate.
How old are they?Let me tell you, I have fully earned the drink I shall soon be pouring.
4 and 5. They have chatted the brains out of meHow old are they?
If the bed has been delivered you would think she is out this weekend. Hopefully today or Sunday but not Saturday if you are the superstitious type.
Pete. Although you may decide to get a care package in, something tells me that you'll still have done half the stuff on their list by the time they turn up.
Great to hear Kay is close to coming home though. But from experience it may take a little longer than you'd wish for as they don't take any chances and will want everything right before they release her. Made up for you though mate.
That’s brilliant progress Pete! It sounds like everyone is pulling in the same direction to get her home for Christmas. Also got a washing seat for downstairs that the hospital just gave me and a bath lift chair for the main bathroom ordered from Amazon.
The doctor and physio spent some time with me, while the doctor was happy to get the release papers done the physio said if the care package is not in place before leaving hospital then it’s a devil of a job trying to get it afterwards. As a few on here have already said. Anyway we’ve all agreed she will be home for Christmas, come what may, but the physio will chase down the care provider….
Blue badge may be difficult to get for dementia patients Pete. We tried to get one for Cal's mum (Cal was her carer) but failed twice even though she qualified for the higher level of attendance allowance. Flo didn't live with us though so maybe that had an effect.
Sounds like you’ve got a good Doctor and physio Pete , who also understand the limitations of the system. It’s great that you are all in agreement to get Kay home for ChristmasAlso got a washing seat for downstairs that the hospital just gave me and a bath lift chair for the main bathroom ordered from Amazon.

Bloody hell, those phantom onion choppers are at it again. Great to hear she’s getting back to her previous best mate; everything crossed you get her out soon and give her the best Chrimbo you can (and of course I hope you get some of the spoiling you so richly deserve from the rest of the family).Well the NHS bed arrives tomorrow morning. They tried to deliver it today but of course I was already at the hospital and my son in work. My wife looks pretty well back to her normal state, the mucus cough has gone, so now it’s about getting her mobile again. The nurse said they still haven’t a start date for an outside carer, but I said don’t worry about that as I’ve been doing it so far anyway and I don’t want anything holding up or getting in the way of her release from hospital. It was lovely today as the physiotherapist was with me while I walked with Kay up and down the ward. She then said to come and sit in two seats she had arranged and four nurses stood in front of us and played the guitar and sang Christmas Carols especially for my wife who was mouthing the words. Patients and staff from the ward all started to turn up and video it. It was beautiful……..
It is mate, it’s saying enjoy this and get it down your neckLittle amusing story for you. This morning my phone gave me a present of a slideshow of the year, presumably taken from my photograph gallery. The first was a picture of my neighbour Michele with the now sadly departed Norfolk Terrier Chelsea. Every single other shot was an alcoholic drink of some description.
Is my phone trying to tell me something?
Good luck to Chris with his treatment xxGood evening everybody. How is it going? Chris rang me today to tell me that he restarts his treatment on Monday. That is good news. Hopefully no more side effects this time.
We did the Christmas food shop tonight. Not a fun experience- far too many people but it is done now and our cupboards and freezer are full.
Tesco are selling loads of veg for 15p with a Club card. Bags of potatoes, carrots, sprouts. Well worth a visit.
Cheers, my tipples for tonight - started with a nice little stout from a new shop near us and now on Greek gin and tonic. Memories of sipping by the sea as the sun goes down. This evenings G&T Friday offering. Cheers everyone. Hope you all have a great weekend.
