Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

People can be very sensitive about the places they love. I have always been very defensive of Liverpool.

When Cal and I went to see The Human League in the summer, we stayed over in a quaint pub in a place in Cornwall called Lostwithiel. Jazzy will probably know it as it isn't too far from where he grew up. Anyway, Cal was still getting ready so I said I'd pop down and have a drink in the bar whilst I was waiting. There were about half a dozen locals in there having a drink. People in Cornwall are really friendly so it was no surprise that in no time I'm deep in conversation with them. I made the mistake of referring to Lostwithiel as a village. Well they must have spent the next 15 minutes informing me that Lostwithiel was actually a town and back in Elizabethan times it was actually the capital of Cornwall. I got chapter and verse on everything I needed to know about the place.

Anyway next minute Cal comes down, and as I'm ordering another round of drinks at the bar she blurts out to the locals, I really love your Village, it's beautiful. lol
Yep I know Lostwithiel ( which I think in Cornish means the town of lost souls ) very well. I'd never refer to it as a village lol .
Close to the English China Clay works at Par (not to be confused with Par in St Helens ) where you will find lots of man made mountains, well maybe not mountains but hills.
