Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I can indeed see why, that passion rubs off.

Does having Tipp blood means that you and your wife support the same team? Ha, no at all. A soccer player would leave in tears, I love the sport but soccer players are as wimpy as they get, their pain tolerance seems very low compared to so many other sports.
No Sass. I was born and bred in Dublin. Three of my grandparents were born in Dublin. So guess what.....I am a Dub.

Now go back further by and my grandmother's parents were from Tipperary. In GAA it is all about parish and County.

I am a complete Dublin fanatic in both football and hurling. I am a Shamrock Rovers fanatic in soccer. I live in Kilkenny, a beautiful city, lovely people, but just don't mention hurling!!! Their nickname is the Cat's. There is a reason for that!

If Tipp are playing I will support them but I am a Dub through and through. Love Kilkenny, just not their hurling fans :-)

Look at a few more hurling videos. You may not believe the passion these guys bring. It is what sickens me about modern soccer. Overpaid Muppets

Hahaha. You are surely a Dub.

But now im confused so about your language use. So do you call football soccer like Americans? So what’s football for you all the same as Americans?

Cats with claw’s can be scary so I can only imagine how frightening Kilkenny hurling fans can be ?

But did you Google Gaelic Football or Hurling. Hurling is the greatest sport on earth. it is the fastest field sport - these guys can get the sliotar (ball) moving at incredible speeds.

It is now compulsory for every player to wear a protective helmet but look at some of the historical videos. I would love to put some of our Bambi Muppets in. They wouldn't last two minutes.

Google Christy Ring as an example. He literally bled for Cork
Many years ago I worked with a lad from cork who used to play ,built like a brick---- .I watched the odd match as coverage wasn't the same as now .

I really don’t know much about this sport. I was just reading about it and it seems pretty entertaining. Is it like a mixed of regular football and American football? I may have to check out a match sometime. My mom wonders what happened to me because I’m her only child that loves watching football and other sports.

Hugely disappointed is an understatement. I really thought we were going to kick some arse today.
Think more Australian rules than American football. It’s fast and hard hitting and for an amateur game it has a very high skill level. Here’s last nights highlights to give you an idea.

Morning everyone ,

Well it was lovely to see the return of @Sassy Colombian .

Wet and still very windy here and likely to be so for the next couple of days.

Depressing result and 2nd half performance yesterday - heaven knows if we are going to stay up.

Don't think we will have long left with the little fella , we will see. I know you all worry about him . He's had a great life and when the time is right we will do what we have to do. Sorry but please don't ask me how he is as it's the only thing that upsets me. If he improves I will let you know and also when the time comes. Sorry but it's so hard just thinking about it and typing this.

Anyhow I'm off to yoga and hope that that takes my mind off things.

Have a lovely day everyone

My great great grandfather came over to Liverpool from County Cork in the 1840's. He started the Liverpool dynasty for our family. Have been to Cork City, one of the nicest places on the planet.
My great great grandad was named James Patrick. I am named John Patrick - mainly because I was born on St Patrick's day! Lucky day to be born on, nobody ever forgot my birthday! lol

In Ireland football mostly means Gaelic football. There is also rugby football. Soccer is used much more here than in England to avoid confusion.

My wife's best friend is a Kilkenny fanatic. Lovely lady.... until you mention hurling. Unbelievable how she changes
