No No I wasn't asking for any apologies I was being selfish as I love to visit this thread and I love the respect Karl gets .For me it is a shining light in the world around us .
Everyone has the right to share their views and I feel that as much as this thread ,just as you say the attitude can change and that is what I am afraid of ,no matter what the subject .Thank you for seeing my view.
It is a little known fact Fred that to test a washing machine ,the best way is to throw it at the wall .

Morning all. One of the advantages of waking early is hearing the dawn chorus and this morning the blackbird was singing again on the lamppost outside our house, just the one at the moment but won’t be too long before the rest join in. Not much planned for today and so Mr G is keen to clear out some of the junk which has accumulated in the small bedroom. I know this makes sense but I find it very difficult to let things go. I even have babies rattles and our eldest is 42 next month! I know that if I keel over tomorrow the whole lot will go in a skip so I may as well save someone the job and make a start today. Wish me luck! The sun has just come out so I hope the sun is shining on everyone today and those who are suffering in any way find their troubles and pain are eased. Have a good day all.?

Good luck clearing things. It is very difficult to let go of items that have sentimental value and that we have held for so long. But it is better for you to make the decision of that to do with them, than having someone else having to make such determinations ?

Good morning, friends.
I officially signed my papers for the new job yesterday afternoon. I’m starting much sooner than I expected, HR wants me to begin training March 1st. But for the month of March, I’m going to be doing my current job in the mornings and training for my new position in the afternoons. I feel so much better this is how the transition is going to happen, because I didn’t want to leave my current department short handed. What’s best is that I’ll start getting paid and benefits right away. My daughter had a meltdown yesterday because she is afraid that now that I’ll be working full time that she is never going to see me or her dad. I had to reassure her that we are both going to continue being there for her, even if our daily schedules look a bit different. She is probably the one who is go to feel this change the most as she has been used to me being here for her and a full-time mom for the past 11 years. But I really needed this career change in my life and I know I can make our schedules work and she is still is going to get the love, attention and all her needs met. Motherhood is certainly a balancing art.
@anjelikaferrett this quote made me think of you and me. I hope your daughter’s quarter life crisis improves, but I can understand her frustration. After dating her boyfriend for that long it seems about time that she would have met his family. And seeing her friends starting to make a life with their own partners can create a fear that she is not keeping up with them and the plans they had set for themselves when it comes to having a family and kids.

I hope the wind situation has improved for everyone that has been affected.

I forgotten to mention that my woke up call this morning was a big ouch, as I managed to hit my head, while sleeping, against the corner of the nightstand. I never done that before, but there is always a first with my clumsy self to do such things ??
