Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

If you were anything like me LT you'd need the beer to pluck up the courage to ask the girls to dance.

I used to drink golden back in the day. The draught beer back then was disgusting but mixing bitter and lager somehow used to improve the taste. ?
My favourite bevy back in the day, talking about music Rod the mod is coming to town, seen him a few times and he did put on a good show, but at 77yrs of age?

Good afternoon, mascoteers!

I’m arriving to work a few minutes early so I wanted to post a message to wish happy birthday to Mrs. J. Jazzy I have no doubt that you made her special today and pampered her with lots of love. I hope she enjoyed the antique shopping and the Mexican meal. What did you all have? I absolutely enjoy Mexican food. Like LT mentioned in his post, you are so right about your post regarding Ukraine. And while I know it is hard for some us that are very stressed about the situation to discuss it here. I’m also glad we have this thread to chat and communicate about this situation that’s affecting the innocent people of Ukraine the most, but that could end up affeting the whole world. I can’t even believe some Everton fans are upset about
Usmanov / USM being sanctioned because of the consequences for Everton. Where is these people’s humanity? Good thing I haven’t seen those posts or I would have gotten into an argument with those selfishness idiots. Like some of you I wish the US and Europe will use some of their weapon technology to eliminate Putin. I never wished death upon anyone but this tyrant deserves it. How can we witness the destruction of a country and its people by Putin and just let this happen. Why is Russia still being allowed to be part of the UN’s security council with veto power. Russia needs to be expelled immediately and we should take care of him before he really brings our world to the edge of destruction. It is hard to know what to do during these troubling times. Like Ange, I’m finding it difficult to find some excitement at the moment when there is so much suffering happening. I’m sorry about my gloomy post but I’m finding it hard to be hopeful at the moment.

Please each of you take care. Love you ❤️

I knew somebody who used to drink "brown over mild" It was flippin' horrible but he seemed to like it. Can you still even get mild?

Indeed you can Anj'. Some of these hipster craft brew fellas occasionally brew a batch and push them out at about £5 a can. The lads in the beer thread keep spending their hard earned on them - they must be crackers. x

Beautiful mate. One of my favourite classical numbers although I have to admit I didn't know what it was until 1 min 4. lol

You may not be surprised to know that we loved classical music too, or at least some classical music; never been that fussed on some of the high brow stuff. We were big fans of Andrea Bocelli and went to see him live twice at the Echo Arena. Work also sponsored the Liverpool Phil and had a box there, and Cal and I often entertained my clients there. We'd probably go about 2 or 3 times a year as hardly any of the other managers were into classical.

I chose 2 of our favourite classical pieces at Cal's funeral. "Vide cor meum" and "Con te partiro"
Not into all especially baroque and Handel too heavy for me ,I like a lot of Verdi and we watch an opera or concert most Fridays on You tube ,we did go to the opera a few times per year but no longer for safety reasons .
