Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning all ,

Well yesterday was a bit of a washout for Mrs Js birthday - literally.

Drove to the Forest of Bowland but just too wet to go for a walk.

So drove onto Clitheroe. Continued raining pretty much all day and we were drenched. Had a wonderful hot chocolate in a chocolate cafe ( not had one for over 40 years!) and visited the antique centre which was underwhelming.

The Mexican restaurant was closed at lunchtime so we cut our losses , came home and enjoyed a lovely meal at our local Italian.

Stupidly I watches the 1st half of the match whilst Mrs J soaked in the bath. How bad was that? Didn't watch the 2nd half and believe that we improved.

Anyway today's another day. Woke up to find out that the Russians had been targeting a nuclear power plant ......God help us.

I am yet to see the news or the draw for that matter ,shame about yesterday .No hot chocolate for 40 years ? There is always next year but check the weather forecast .

Morning chaps, so I fell asleep and missed the second half ffs oh well we won, thought we tried to pass it into the net first half, which I suppose given what we've witnessed all season, I'll take positives from actually passing lol Tough draw but could have been worse.
Here's a Daily Daisy

Oh, you have me itching to get back!

Morning all, grey day here but at least it’s not raining. Loving the “Daily Daisy” @Terrarian. Shame that Mrs J birthday didn’t turn out as planned @jazzy , I hope you made a fuss of her to make up for it. I haven’t tasted chocolate for at least 30 years as it is one of my migraine triggers but I am able to eat cheese which is also known to trigger migraines. I’d rather eat cheese than chocolate so I’m lucky there. Hope everyone is well, have a good day.

Don't think you could have made that up Jazzy, at least you had a plan B you were able to deploy, I did the reverse for the game, we were out celebrating my youngest lad's girlfriends birthday with her parents in a pub over the back from us, missed the first half but back in the house for the second half.
Plucky effort from Borehamwood but thankfully a stroll in the park for us .

Evening Mascoteers, hope you are all good.

Nothing much to report, just popped in to say hello.

Listened to Oasis Live at Knebworth today. They had caught lightning in a bottle and I took every chance I got to see them in Ireland.

Oasis was of course Messy’s favourite band and I thought of him a lot wondering if he had been in the crowd.

I’m sure our bud @Toast would enjoy the gig too.

Good evening all. Bit late to the party today. My phone is still playing silly beggars when I try to reply to anything and is even a bit weird when I even just post. Only on this website though. Very Strange. Sorry Mrs J's birthday didn't go as planned @jazzy but I'm sure she enjoyed it anyway with Plan B. @Terrarian I'm very much enjoying the Daily Daisy pics. She is beautiful. My work colleague's beagle gatecrashed the team meeting today. He's called Marty after Marty McFly! That's one thing I love about home working, when a random cat or dog just appears on the screen in a meeting.

That's me finished work for a week. I am now looking forward to our trip away - WW3 permitting! Been to the gym tonight. I'm knackered.

I'm absolutely shocked by the news about Shane Warne. One of the greatest cricketers of all time. And 52 is no age. It's the only news I've watched today - saw the footage the other night of a 77 year old Russian lady being arrested for protesting about the invasion, they didn't go easy on her. Awful. I think the Russians who are taking to the streets are showing extraordinary courage and bravery.

Glad the job seems to be going well @Sassy Colombian . Long may it continue. You've been a bit quiet @Barnfred 55 is everything OK with you?

Have a peaceful night folks x

Liam is doing Knebworth again this summer.
Won’t be the same second time around is my gut.
Still be boss though..

Gorgeous!

Good morning all on this slightly brighter day for us Blues ,we did the job we needed to and that is enough for now ,I think Dacoure is having a bit of a bad spell at least passing wise and so sadly is Allan .We really are struggling in midfield to create any chances ,they all seem a bit shot shy too.
Have a great day mascoteers COYB.
Let’s bring James back ?

Local Italian sounds as delicious, hopefully Mrs. J still enjoy her day even with the drench.

No having hot chocolate for that long would be a sacrilegious to Colombians ;)

I agree with you I’m also enjoying the Dalila Daisy shots with her cow friends, so sweet. Now we just need @jazzy to post some pics of his animals too.

I am sure every time your listened to Oasis Karl’s comes to your mind. I have been thinking about him too. On the 16th it will be his 3 month anniversary since he left us ?

I also saw that footage Ange and it was horrific seeing that old lady being treated so harsh. While there is many Russians that support this war and Putin, there is equally the amount of people that are very upset about what’s happening in Ukraine and are trying to raise their voices but after the restrictive law Russia passed today, it is going to be even very risky for people to protest unless they want to go to jail for a long time.

I know that given the circumstances it is hard to be excited about your trip but you deserve it!

As I was reading today’s thread I was wondering the same, where are you @Barnfred 55 and why are you so quiet? Do I need to bring the whip out ?

The second half was the best part LT, so we did well on our watching lol

It is the weekend friends and not only did I survive my first week performing my new job but I’m already loving it. My job advising is very sedentary, I spent a lot of time in front of the computers and on the phone, especially since the pandemic began. But this new position has me out and about, this week i went around town meeting community partners. And today I visited our other college campuses that are located about 30 minutes from town and I got to drive through the beautiful country side and the mountains. All this week the weather has continued to be absolutely gorgeous, trees are flowering and it feels like spring. Hopefully stays like this but I’m afraid it is going to get cold again but hopefully not. I just got home a bit ago and had my first drink of the week, and a well deserved one. Now I have jump in the jacuzzi to relax for a bit. My daughter is going to spend the weekend at her best friend’s house because it is her birthday so the husband and I are having the weekend to ourselves, which is very nice as the last time that happened was when we went to Mexico for our anniversary. That’s all from me, at least for now. I may be posting again after I’m a bit tipsy and tell you all again how much I love you and ho grateful I’m that Karl brought us together ?
