He was the best player in the just after lockdown period.

Its all confidence with Keane, there's a decent defender there and can play out when he wants to.

Hasn't he got 2 years in his contract? I suspect the reason for the new contract is because as you say Carlo rates him, but in my opinion I don't believe in rewarding people with nice contracts when their performances don't deserve it.

Any decent bid for him and I'd sell him in a heartbeat.

Personally I don't rate him either but he has done well under Ancelotti so far.

A different manager and a couple of different players around him can make all the difference to a player. We will just have to see what happens I suppose.

If his name was Marcelo Baptista and he was in the Brazil squad we'd be celebrating him as a top CB but apparently Michael Keane in the England squad doesn't rate.

I thought it was the black players who we're all prejudiced against on here?

I can barely keep up with my own bigotry these days.

Anyway, Keane's Jaap Stam performances since the restart are the biggest myth since DCL9's Sheringham-esque hold-up play. He's not a top-half player.

No it doesn't mate. He plays every week and just got a new contract because the manager obviously rates him. He is there on merit (according to the manager)

He is obviously our first choice CB for better or worse. I don't agree with that personally, just telling it how it is.

I think Keane is ok. Nothing wrong with this. I don’t think any defence would perform well with the garbage midfield we have had. Hopefully this will now change.
