I’d like to say that the rage at this jellyfish has diminished after 24 hours however it has not.

And this evening, we read the club has offered a new contract to Branthwaite to ward off rival clubs interest. The mixed messages going to this lad must be bewildering.

If I was him or his agent I’d be done with this schizophrenic basket case of an employer.

Not only are his mistakes costly but I feel like he is a catalyst for other players mistakes, maybe I'm making too much of it but it looks like he unsettles his team mates.
I said this yesterday before during and after the game and said it last season before Mina stepped in for him

Tarkowski isn’t world class or anything but he’s a very solid 7/10 premier league defender unless he’s next to Keane who I trust as much as anyone we’ve had since Jagielka to be honest

As I said he needs to be removed from the firing line and only used in an emergency as it’s probably too late int be window to loan or sell him. He is a pure confidence player and if he starts a game poorly he is pretty much doomed and I think it has a ripple effect not only through the defence but the entire team. McGuire had a similar effect at United but not as stark as Keane.

Symptomatic of the Moshiri years an overpaid player who isn't good enough who has a losers mentality, who stays in the team regardless of how many clangers he drops. Who falls to bits when we concede? He's infected with a weak mentality that affects the rest of the back four. He's flat footed, lacking mobility isn't a leader. He was dropped when we had to save ourselves last season now Mina and Coady have gone he's straight back in the team. He isn't good enough get him out of the team and out of the club.
