I know this will get laughed out of town
but considering, strikers aside, none of the first team are capable of scoring goals,
Would there be any sense in putting Keane in a defensive midfield position?
I think Gana has been poor for all 3 games.
I think the sensible thing is to push Onana deeper, drop Doucore back and play Iwobi at 10 but keane can score and it is handy to have him in and around the box when we're attacking/set pieces.
Is he anywhere near good enough to play DM?

Mate he's not even good enough to play in his actual position, never mind anywhere else.

yea, It's probably a terrible idea but his mistakes seem to be of the last ditch kind.
Maybe if he's sitting in front of the center backs.
And he's the only one who had the ball in the net this season.

Ok, cant believe I've thought about this for a good 15 mins,
I'll give it a rest now lol
He's a good finisher, as seen in the training vids and in games even, but there's a lot more to it to be a striker unfortunately. It's still a better idea than playing him at centre back though!

Are you related to Sean Dyche?

Nowhere near it . He can never get his feet sorted and stumbles around the place looking lost and out of it. His mind wouldn't be able to transmit messages to his body quick enough and when his body receives the messages and tries to carry them out ...that period of play is over .
That's my honest opinion.

Club should be desperately trying to offload him in any way before the deadline. He's now been dropped twice by the manager due to appalling errors that have directly led to us conceding goals. He does not learn and he's on a huge salary. Two years left to go, so any amount of money we could get for him now would be amazing, even if just £5m. A loan with us paying 50% of his salary would also be fantastic, as awful as that sounds.

I really wanted it to work out for him now his old boss is around but he hasn't improved at all.
As others have said, he can head and he's not bad in front of the opposition goal and maybe a decade ago with the right training he could of done a Sutton, Warhurst or Dublin but it's way beyond that now.
It's not the lack of tools at his disposal and he is the archetype of an old fashioned center back but his confidence and decision making. Hopefully he can drop down a division or go abroad. He might do alright in Holland or even Italy.
Shame it didn't work out but he can't start a game again. I wouldn't even start him midweek.
