I’d have no issue if we had a new CB pairing next year in all honesty. Players like Tarkowski are great stop gaps but Everton hold into them for dear life; when we should already be looking at improving on him

Tarkowski can get by depending on the quality of his partner though. Keane is just a complete disaster who makes everyone around him worse. If Keane plays every game this year we are finishing bottom of the league regardless of which forwards we bring in.

Keane and Tarkowski are to similar in what they are supposed to do track block header, they need to be partnered with CB with pace and who attacks the ball (need Godfrey to be the player we hoped he would be), as they both move out of position to be the ball playing CBs. Would have Tarkowski over Keane any day of the week. Neither are as good as Mina at reading the game.

Agreed. I just also don't rate Tarkowski

Pretty sure Tarkowski played every fixture last season, so can see when and with whom the issue arises.

He played every minute of every game. After watching Keane these last six years it’s an absolute miracle that he has lasted even half that time,nearly £18M has been credited to his bank account not counting the signing on fees when he came and when he signed a new contract. Michael is a very poor footballer but a very lucky boy, he’s got a Guardian Angel watching over him.

Keane doesn’t track or block at all though. The only thing he can do is head away a straight long ball. Oh he can shoot as well which is pretty irrelevant for a centre back.

Brighton away last season. They had us penned in the whole 2nd half. Tarkowski alongside Mina was fine.
Tarkowski is limited. But alongside anyone half decent and hes ok.
Clutching at straws though. We have no decent fullbacks either. They all get exposed.

He is; sloth like slow but at least he does not fold under pressure as easily as Mikey.
