Transfer Rumour Michael Keane

Mori is utter garbo, Jags is ALMOST done, Williams didnt have a great season, but still has something to offer, but I do admit, I think we need 2 new starting CBs, I would sell Mori and keep Jags and Williams as back up.

i wouldn't sell mori because next summer we'll need to replace jags and williams, that means buying 4 centre backs in two summers ha. He'll be 27 then and tbh i'd like at least one defender in that prime sort of age, all our other defenders are kids or oldies. Keane and lemos (to a lesser extent) seem to be linked and both are quite young themselves too. I just like mori, i know he's a bit shaky, but i like him.

I did like him, then he started kicking thin air and I stopped liking him.

I dont want him anywhere near the pitch in a blue shirt, EVER again.

Everyone in football hopes he'll make a 100% recovery but the top clubs have to prepare for the inevitable and if we are serious about where we want to go we should be signing a adequate RB who can if in worse case scenario take the starting spot, not Martina who if Coleman comes back half the player having us stuck with no quality in that position like we had with Robles and Steklenburg this season in the GK position.

Utd could have offered Zlatan a 1 year deal as a gesture of goodwill but they never as they are ruthless and want to be at the top, im not advocating that and was glad we signed Seamus up to a new deal but we need to be smart and not be all heart and no business in assuming he has a starting 11 position saved for him which is essentially what we would be doing by signing Martina.

Whatever. You said Coleman definitively won’t come back the same.

They are both good pros, I doubt either will sulk, if we did sign 2 maybe Jags would ask to move on, cos he wants to play at his age, not warm a bench, I think its likely we will sign Keane + 1 and Jags will move on, leaving Williams, Mori, Galloway and Holgate as "back up", but if we only sign 1, I wouldnt feel that bad with Keane and Williams, its not Nesta and Cannavaro, but it will do the job, IMO.
Do you think he still has a future with us? I doubt it.
We need to have higher aspirations then this if we want to challenge the top 4. Keane, holgate, Williams and another CH is a must.

I think Galloway has a future with us for sure, hes looked a good player when ive seen the lad, no better or no worse than Holgate.

but that's what i like about him, the loveable oaf ha he loves scoring for us, he's your stereotypical south american centre back, football would be duller without them.

Statistically after a break as bad as that he'll struggle to return to the same level and even if he does it'll take months of regular football to get upto pace. Also after injuries like that players tend to pick up niggly injuries frequently (such as Eduardo, Ramsey and our own Oviedo) I personally think we should either bring Kenny through the ranks and hope he can make the RB spot his own or sign a decent RB like Soares and prepare for the likely possibility of Seamus not returning to the highest level.

Signing Martina makes no sense whatsoever.
I'd say almost the complete opposite.

Coleman deserves to be given the chance to prove himself when he returns. He's suffered a bad injury but if anyone can overcome that it's Coleman.

I fail to see how Kenny - who is untried in the Premier League - is expected to start every game in all competitions next season. It's absurd to suggest it.

We will struggle to replace him that's a given. As for gray mixed emotions from Burnley fans as for me I think he's garbage has such a poor first touch you can see why he was playing non league not long ago can't for the life of me see why you would sign him. Can't stay onside and more interested in his bird from some girl band called little mix.
Your opinions on gray are shared by many on here. He is an upgrade on niasse (but then again who isn't) but with a club with aspirations to challenge the top 4, gray doesn't strike me as a signing to close the gap that exists between us and the teams above us.

Won't mind your lad mcarthy and possibly lookman on loan pweez? Is niasse even a footballer? Makes gray look a world beater.

i was on to win £50 on hull getting relegated so i almost hated him for life, but no, he didn't really look like a footballer for us. a keane for mccarthy swap seems good enough to me, both the same sort of price (given keane's contract). Lookman's ours though, the loveable little scamp.

As I keep saying, if Kenny is as good as people think and Martina as bad as people think, its not really an issue, hes a squad utility player, hes not replacing Lukaku.

Obviously last season's loan was a disaster for the lad and he has effectively lost 12 months of his career out of it. I really don't think he will come straight back into the fold here, but maybe a loan to one of the newly promoted clubs (but not Newcastle) could resurrect his career.
