Jags, Baines Vice, Barry 3rd choice, give it to Seamus when Jags leaves.
I think some confuse passion with leadership. Coleman is as passionate as anyone and he certainly 'gets Everton'. But the lad isn't necessarily a leader in my eyes.
Neville wasn't a superb footballer, but he had passion and he was a leader, I dont think anyone ever thought the was a bad leader really. I see Schneiderlin as the same but with a top footballing ability to go with it (No disrespect to Neville, he was without doubt a good right back).
Also, I prefer captains to be in the centre of the pitch personally.
All the talk about the captaincy is somewhat off topic for the Michael Keane thread !!
Fair enough......but there is nothing new to discuss about MK at the moment.

What will his shirt number will be ?
If you're going by that, then Williams is the clear choice - captain for Wales and was for Swansea, very vocal and a good leader - but I think you need someone who "gets" us - and for me that is Coleman.
But Williams is rubbish.
Would like to see a centre half wearing 5 myselfGibson's vacated No. 4 I reckon.

My feeling is if we start with two centre backs, it'll be Keane and Jags... If we go with three, then add Williams to the line-up ahead of RFM.No. 5 is currently his number at Burnley, but Williams has that at the moment. If Jags moves on, he could get number 6, but my money would be on 4.
