You're chatting wham mate. He has his lowest minutes per goal ratio in the premier league, where he scores every 84 minutes and gets a goal or an assist every 65 minutes. He also has a 1 in 2 goal ratio based on minutes played in every league hes played in apart from Spain.

His goal record is better than our current options. We're all agreed that Tosun and Niasse are never going to be up to the standard we're aiming for and at the moment DCL also isn't there. Our best option up top is a 21 year old winger. Unless something else appears and we're serious about getting a higher tier striker like Werner/Maxi Gomez then the deal seems logical.

If we want to compete for the FA cup and try to get 7th then bringing in a striker with that type of scoring record is worth the gamble at £14 mil in my eyes, especially when we can cover that fee and more with the sales of Tosun and Niasse, and even if he doesn't work out with us we can easily recoup that £14 mil given his age.

Possibly better? He can run, control a ball and score goals therefore he is better than all 3 of our current strikers by some margin. If you think Niasse or Tosun are as good as Batshuayi you're mad.

What we need is basically a better version of Shane Long/Troy Deeney. A hard working striker who will run all day long, run the channels, harass the opposition defence to stop them playing it out, lead the team to press the opposition, get into good scoring positions, finish well and have a touch of nastiness about them. Shouldn't be too hard to find lol

I just read all that and thought......... Sounds exactly like Drogba. So what I'm basically saying is we need the new Drogba.

That sounds like Tosun and if had real pace he might be a very good player, unfortunately he doesn't.
I think we need more than that and real pace is the first requirement.
