Migrant Crisis

Mate, Who or what are economic migrants? I've noticed this becoming more of a buzz word recently as a way of supposedly separating people in need and not. If you mean people who want a better life and have left their home and communities in search of guarantees and security with regards to employment, education and healthcare then I understand and support their plight. Not having a go, I get what you're saying but an 'invasion' really?

An invasion it must be as they are coming here uninvited, just explain how you look at it in any other way. If you enter someones house without permission thats burglary, are these burglars, It is simple to say we can accommodate them, we can't. At present there is a dearth of homes for those allowed residence here already, where are these folk going to live, more people means more power needed to deal with the extra capacity, locally we are under threat of having twelve wind turbines built just down the road, not much you may say, they are wanting to build on prime agricultural land and each turbine will be taller than the gherkin in town. So when people say willy nilly yes let them come here you have to fully understand the consequences involved for everyone.

But you know that's what will happen if we take in a load. The poor & sick who've been here all their lives will feel the results more than anyone else, despite being the ones who've borne the full hit of the latest round of austerity. I shudder to think what excuses this'll give the barstids for the next round........

When the oil-rich arab states are doing absolutely sod-all to help out, it becomes a bit too much.

You should add ;-

1. If the ones queuing up are allowed in this will just encourage thousands more to come so at what point is the line drawn.

2. Look ahead 5, 10 or 15 years down the line do we have any idea what problems we have let ourselves in for? Seeing as something like 95% are Muslim, how many will want apply the ISIS line here?

3. it has been revealed that we already have allowed in nearly 800.000 migrants in from mostly Euro countries does that count for nothing.

4. They do not want to go to Spain, Portugal, Poland, Finland, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Romania, Bulgaia, hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia or greece - I wonder why

5. Hungary and the Czech Republic have declared they will only accept Christians!

Just a few points.

Well if were going to take a few thousand in lets start with the Christian ones first.
as they are getting it from all side in the middle east.
Not into religion at all but this group should be top of the list.
one of the European countries did this last week ,cant recall which one former eastern block

Not quite. The poor and the sick will be told by right wing press that we've taken people in at their expense and the government will use it as an excuse to impose further austerity.

"TheFinnFan, post: 3840314, member: 7927"]so how many extras does england have to take?[/QUOTE]
None It will be a load of smoke and mirrors from the PM.
as one door opens he will close another.

Yes. With a different culture. With their views towards women and respecting the law.

If many of these young men grow up in a country that has a rape culture, don't be surprised if they rape in the country they settle in.

Look at the news lately, young woman dragged from her car in daylight when parked at John Lewis and raped by an Asian man.

if someone had shot Hitler etc.. these hyphothetical arguments are great but I think you will find that generally in history evil actions lead to further evil. call being heartless common sense if you want. call people showing compassion brainless if you want, but it is turning our back on this ruthless behaviour that has always moved civilisation forward and people have always done it against a background of sneering

They aren't hypothetical arguments btw, Caesar did get stabbed to death. The Spanish did carry out a genocide in Central and South America.

If many of these young me race hate is against the law too. n grow up in a country that has a rape culture, don't be surprised if they rape in the country they settle in.
I think you might find inciting race hate is against the law too, but there you go

The NHS will collapse if the UK allowed every 'economic migrant' that wanted to come into the UK into it.

That's a fact.

The NHS 'free at point of entry' principle is already under pressure.

'Economic migrants' and 'refugees'

Are different things

Granting refuge to a refugee is not the same as allowing in non-refugee economic migrants.

Is it more likely that rrfugees / migrants ould be resettled in Weybridge or Ellesmere Port, for example? Would local educaion services, health services etc be under great stress in working class areas?

There are practical problems to be assessed irrespective on the stance of the gutter press.

Either way - it's the indigenous poor who'll be gettin the sh1t end of the stick, yet again. More civil liberties withdrawn in the name of national security if/when one of them blows themselves up & takes out innocents. More resentment of foreigners, further down the line.

Demand the oil-rich arab states to take their quota. They've done sod all and they're as close to Syria as we are.
