Had to lay off thousands of council staff last two years and cut a budget deficit.


Says we will take a few hundred - if you (uk government) pay for them.

It's this sort of nonsense that needs kicking into touch.

Local councillors on £40,000 doing part time work whilst council officers and administration staff laid off.

He should be looking after the people of LIVERPOOL and sorting out council services and economic growth and council budgets.

Not making offers he has ZERO money to make an offer with.

Plus getting someone else to pay for it.

But on the wider point, if a LA takes on refugees/migrants (delete at will), then the UK government should provide funding imo.

Some politicans like local politican JOE ANDERSON needs to focus on those that elected him (people of Liverpool) and their services plus local taxes.

If the UK government sets a programme using LA fine. With central resources. They're central government. They make the decisions. Particularly on this type of policy.


It's not for a local politican like Joe Anderson to be offering or demanding it though.

He needs to focus on liverpool more.

The fact is they're expecting us (The west) to sort out THEIR problems. If they don't like what we do, then they exacerbate the problems of the things they were fleeing from by joining the factions that are causing the bleedin problems in the first place.

And there are westerners who facilitate this by labelling & euphemising them as 'martyrs' when they're no such thing.

i try and make everyone watch it at Christmas. Usually someone around who hasn't seen it . there is another great quote about battling with reality for years and finally beating it. or something like that. may have to watch it again
