Beards ago had some friends out to the old Ballpark in Arlington for a Rangers game on/around my birthday, a few friends (but not me) tried 9 dogs in 9 innings. That's not something you want to try when your team isn't hitting, but at $1 per dog it should be a consideration.

I've not been inside Globe Life yet but I've seen it and it looks like a giant diaper, not really a good first impression from the street, especially since the old Ballpark is still standing next to Globe Life and Jerryworld is visible right behind it. A major fiasco, all of this.

Cheers mate, yeah I think we're gonna go for the Saturday night game - we've got a short time in SF, night game means we can scran, have a few ales and meet folks, the days we can spend exploring the city.
Really looking forward to it though.

Nothing says baseball as it was intended like a soulless monstrosity in the middle of megaopolyptic (I made this word up) sprawl down in Texas next to another soulless 100K seat indoor football stadium.

Baseball needs to be in downtown urban centers with as small a footprint as possible. It's what makes places like Fenway and Wrigley so great, and of the new ones, PNC Park and whatever they call the Orioles one now.

Watched Jared Jones start against the Mets a couple weeks back. He’s incredible. Future Cy Young winner. No chance we were doing anything against him. Luckily they pulled him early (think it was after five innings and only 55 or so pitches)

It was criminal that he was pulled, it was a historic performance, 50 strikes from 59 pitches
