2019/20 Moise Kean

He has barely played a game yet. In fact, hardly any of this summers signings have.

You may be right, but I much prefer my stance in life of looking forward to what joys he, and the others, might bring to L4.

Well and truly messed up. lol
This isn’t a criticism of Kean, I’ve no doubt he’ll be an exceptional player, but we can’t expect too much of him so soon.

Brands has messed up, that much is obvious. Silva isn’t happy with how summer went, wouldn’t be surprised if he walks if we hit a bad patch of form.

Lets see. You wallow in your world if it rocks your boat. I find your posts really sad.

I would rather end up being disappointed than being proved right cos I think all things Everton will be terrible

Who is scoring our goals to move us up the table?
Richarlison/Sig/Iwobi (hopefully)/Bernard(should be scoring this season) Gomes chipping in.
We didn't sign Kean to put everything on his shoulders we signed him because he's
a huge talent in the making.
clearly superior to DCL.
We needed another option for DCL until he learns how to score.

It’s not wallowing, is it? It is passing a valid opinion.

We struggled to score throughout pre-season and our striker woes have been well noted since 2017. We’re now relying on a 19 year old kid from a different country to come in and breathe life into our attack and get us goals to move us past 8th. Brands should have addressed this area and he’s had three transfer windows to do this and hasn’t in any of them.

Bit of a weird post by you. You’re suggesting I’m more concerned about being right than wanting Everton to be good.

So we’re relying on players to score who never really score a lot of goals? I see a flaw in that plan.

I think what Roydo meant was, you’re perhaps a glass half empty person?

Well every post you make is negative. Pretty much anyrate.

Gets extremely boring.

Personally, I am pretty excited at the business Brands has done. CH cover was a bit of a miss, granted, but instead of writing the whole thing off, I prefer to think of happy stuff.

Our purchases have been from Juve, Barca, Monaco, (Huddersfield), and Mainze and Arsenal. Not a bad shopping centre that.

Well then he made that point badly by suggesting I’d rather be proven right.

Our lack of goal scorer is a very real issue, that point reinforced during the Palace game, now we need Kean to provide 15+ goals to move us up the table.

I don’t think that is fair pressure to be putting on a 19 year old, but the way in which Brands conducted business in the summer had left us in this situation.

We only scored 50 odd last season which was less than Bournemouth who conceded a lot more. We only need to score 1 more than an opposition team to win the game and Kean was brought in to add more bite up front.

Insofar as signing a striker, I think you would be hard pushed to find anyone to say that Kean wasn’t a coup for the club. DCL will provide competition and Richarlison can play in the middle as well. We now have more options out wide as well as the possibility of playing Iwobi as a 10 or going with more purpose towards a 4-3-3.

Brands came up a bit short of our expectations but he’s done a good job in the last 3 windows, including getting quite a few out.

Might be worth giving the lads a few games before saying the wheels are coming off?

If we have another bad patch like last season then Silva won't be given a choice in the matter. Brands hasn't messed up. We didn't get everything we wanted , but overall he was good.

Every post? I suggest you go and read through my posts, then. I praised numerous players after the Palace game and called for patience with Gbamin.

You can be pretty excited about the season. You hardly watch Everton as it is, by your own admission.

Fair point, but if he wants to be considered as a top striker he should want to make the grade. Maybe not an Mbape or a Felix or even a Michael Owen but if he does half as well he gets around the 15 goals that could make a massive difference.

I think he’s up to the task.

We don’t have the resources or squad of many of the teams we want to out preform, so the whole XI need to step up and they should feel under pressure to do so - especially as we’ve bought most of them on our apparent ambition...
