2019/20 Moise Kean

The mistake wasn't bringing him off, it was putting him out wide in the first place. Has he ever played on the right of midfield before? It's hard enough to adjust to a new league as a foreign teenager without being shunted out of position.

It was a good opportunity to have him play up front today as Watford's centre backs are bang average.

This , entirely.
Absolutely shocking management.
Some on here praising him for realising the mistake and hooking him off. Absolute jokers.
Gradually ruining a great prospect.

Then if that's the case mate, you either don't play him or bring him on as a sub later on. Hooking him after 45 minutes of playing out of position does no one any favours.

Maybe Silva saw a chance tonight to have him and DCL alternating in the forward line and it just didn't work out. It's always a difficult situation when a new kid who you've spent a lot of money doesn't hit the ground running.

Like I've said all along, we should have signed an experienced CF. We were desperate for one and putting all our hopes on a teenager was utterly mental. If we had a proper CF who was the clear first choice then we could have eased Kean in a bit better. But as it stands it's been a total mess.

And it doesn't help the lad going from Juventus to our insipid forward line. Hopefully his quality shines through soon enough. He should be in rush even if we as a football club. It's not his fault he's been put in this situation.

Yes, pretty much all of his career in fact.

In fairness, he hasn't.

He's played wide right in a front three for Juve and Italy. And the way they both play the 4-3-3, it's nothing like how he played tonight.

At Verona he played mostly in a 2 up top.
Yeah that’s fair but I was replying to a post saying play him up front or it’s ridiculous management. He’s got more experience out wide than up top on his own so that’s clearly a terrible argument which needs pointing out.

If he gets a couple of goals this season it’s a start. He should of started the game tonight up top and could of played walcott. I don’t think starting him Sunday would be good for him because the likes of Sanchez is an absolute brute

Cannot stress enough how much Coleman inhibited him in the first half, was on top of him, cutting inside, all sorts. Really, really want to see this lad kick on - I would give him 5 games up top and really give him a chance
