Gbamin (injured), Kean (Silva killing him), Gomes (in hospital), Mina (starting to think he is the real deal), and Digne is a very average defender so you're so the above is not very accurate.

Compare to what we bought before; Sigurdson, Schneiderlin, Pickford (yes Pickford), Tosun, Niasse, Keane...so you see, not very clever from you.

This is my opinion, before we get into a slanging match.

Have a good day Dave.
I respect your opinion. Respect mine.

Mine, btw, is based on looking at the table and seeing no difference to where we were two seasons ago under Koeman's purchases.

I do respect yours Dave; absolutely.

I just want Silva gone so badly; he's killing us Dave, and one more window for Marcel (defender, centre forward and a #10, playing to Kean strengths), combined with a proper manager coming in, and I feel we are on the way up.

I think Silva is holing us back massively.

Again, my opinion; Thanks

I dont have any great compulsion to back Silva up, tbh. I think he flaps under the cosh.

However, I just know that whoever we get in they'll be hamstrung by having to play with expensive bang average players...because Brands cant or wont do his homework on them.

He plays at LB. Therein the similarity ends.

Me name more 'good enough' players? You think that'd be difficult to name plauyers better than this load of tripe in blue shirts? Lol.

By the way, Bramds gets millions per year to identify them - maybe you should focus on him spotting them and not me?

OK Dave if its not difficult, name some. Off to dialysis and work now, so will have a look at your names tonight. No malice intended Dave, I respect your contributions to the forum, just curious as to who you think we could get who is better than what we have. Couple of starters for you(if ever available) Teileman, Wesley,Lucas(who can't get a regular game at Spurs) etc.

I'm not going to provide any. To think there aren't better players than this load of jellyfish is ludicrous.

Good luck today. ;)

But Dave there was a different manager style, not saying if either were better just making a wee point. For me they are both rubbish and have brought the club to it's knees.

Sorry Dave, name names to back up your argument, or your argument is invalid. Its not difficult,I've mentioned a few to you already. Do you think Bale has had his best years, or could he rejuvenate us? Wages no problem because we save on Niasse, Mirallas and a couple of others come the summer?
It went OK today, thanks Dave. I think a lot of our problem is that we are a bit too careful in the transfer market. Cahill from Chelsea was on a free, and might have been more than cover for us.Instead of the 19 year old striker, who was typically in the Brands thinking , we should have gone for one of the many strikers who turned up at Wham etc. Even Perez would have been a risk, but transfer are always risky. Any ideas?

This argument is c=ircular and pointless: the fanciful notion that I or others have to point to better players when it's Brands job to identify them is compounded by the view that those players dont exist.

We are employing bottom feeders in the elite professional game. They are easily replaceable.

If you played chess Dave this would be known as the Davek Avoidance Gambit.

The kid is 19. He was never ever ever going to come into a new league in a new country and into a struggling team and start hammering them in. He will come good, the problem is we haven't bought a striker with more experience of slotting 15-20 plus in a top league and haven't for years if we are honest.

I disagree a bit.

If we had a top defence + midfield then we would dominate games which would give Kean a lot greater chance of success.

With Holgate partnering Mina + Digne and Sidibe now on the flanks the defence looks fine for now.

No sooner is that area sorted but now were down (again) our first choice midfield.

Id have used this season to play DCL / Kean but it only works if we have a solid defence and midfield.

For me, id be focused on sorting out those two areas and giving the 2 kids a go up top.

Oh for sure I would give him a run. My point was you can't expect him to just instantly be a top striker it was never going to happen he will take time.

The sad thing is that already he is largely forgotten due to the high expectations of him becoming a first team regular starter and having a few goals under his belt.
Catch 22 could be all about him, the kid cant win. Given our past record I foresee a quiet return to Italy on loan initially then sold on the cheap.
The optimism when he signed was off the scale at times, but he has well and truly been touched by Everton.
