Does anyone think that if Kean doesn’t make an impression here and doesn’t perform then other young talents might want to avoid joining us? Since the Martinez days we have been an absolute graveyard for young players.

So basically the same as Vlasic and Lookman, neither of whom got much game time. What didn’t/doesn’t Marco like about these 3? Why sign players and never give them a proper chance? I’m baffled.
Not sure its only the players that were signed , Tom Davies was cast aside , Mason Holgate wasnt a consideration.
Even Dom , none of them would get game time under him unless there is absolutely no one else for them positions.
Just think he will not trust giving the youngsters a game even if they deserve it on merit.

And that's the thing mate, he should be judged after a run of games. He's getting a bit of game time here and there, yet some lads are expecting him to be instantly boss.

We have a quality, exciting player in Kean, and the lad deserves a fair crack of the whip, but for some reason Silva seems reluctant to give him the game time.

I said the same thing when lookman was here , Marco should have pulled him to one side and said “ right, your going to get a run of 10 games or so, I am going to start you and play you as much as possible” obviously if he’s totally crap you don’t persist with the 10 games but a player knowing he has time to impress eases the pressure surely. It effects everything , if you have been on the bench for 3-4 weeks and suddenly you’re given 15 mins you will be trying to hard, shooting when you should pass , trying to do something to stand out every single time you receive the ball. Young players especially need to know that they can be calm and make the right decisions on the ball and that over the next 10 games there will be meant opportunities to show what you can do. As it stands we have all of our strikers getting little cameos and the pressure to produce something in those cameos can’t be good for averall performances imo.

“Calamitous”

Hahaha

You’re an absolute embarrassment to our fan base. It’d take a pretty convincing person to convince me there aren’t racial connotations behind your dislike for Kean. It’s quite evident you have an agenda against him. He’s played less than 500 minutes for the club, yet you’ve labelled him all sorts.
Gobshite.

We currently have a starting center half, age 23 who has been with Everton since he was 19, a starting central midfielder who came through the academy, and a first choice striker age 22 who has been here since he was 19.

Could we do better managing young players and bringing them along? Yeah. But at the same time players and fans both need to be somewhat patient and wait for the right time. Everything has to be immediate now it seems.

Give Kean some time, he’s clearly a talent.
