Carlo clearly wants him that is good enough for me.

Just as saying he must have a poor attitude or low ability is a lazy way of justifying why he isn't performing. Just as it's lazy to say he mustn't be making an effort when you aren't there to see and assess.
It's lazy, uninformed Sky Sports levels of analysis. You could be entirely correct....but none of us know apart from the people involved. Lazy gossip based on little to nothing other than stereotyped views of rich young footballers or Johnny Foreigner coming to steal a living.
Plenty of people have spells of poor performance regardless of job description. It's not a case of hiding behind something if that something is entirely valid. You're taking a lot of swings in the dark.
During the lockdown games DCL did nothing. That was the perfect chance for Carlo to play Kean. He played him.once. I don't mind keeping Kean. I was saying that rather than loan him to Juve if rather sell him. If we keep him I'd still support him. But he still hasn't done much when he has played. Carlo has shown by his new signings that he wants players who are ready now. Kean is still very raw and definitely not ready. Could we not use the money from Kean and get an experienced striker in. DCL is the young striker.I'm confused about how Kean is supposed to prove he's better than the guy who is scoring in every game without playing games. I mean you'll say training, but you aren't going to take Aubameyang out because Lacazette pops a few in at practice and the same goes here. I don't think it is entirely his fault he hasn't gotten chances and as a club we need to collectively figure out that you don't give up on young players at the first possible opportunity. A great example of that in fact is Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Works both ways though doesn’t it? You can’t have people saying ‘imagine being a kid in a different country it’d be so hard’ because he probably doesn’t think about that either. When I moved away from home as a teenager I was happy as a pig in the proverbial.Love when people bring his wage into it as if that should automatically make him happy.
He probably doesn't even think about it.
So Carlo has every faith in him. That's why he never played him"Kean never did enough to get his chance"
"Kean scored twice in 2 games he started"
Biiiit unsure of your stance there
Rightly or wrongly, the impression I got was that the managers last year didn’t trust Kean to do the job they asked him to. If you send someone on for 20 minutes and asked them to do a specific job, and they don’t do it, then you’re probably not going to give them 90 minutes in the next game. There’s more to it than scoring the odd tap in when you start."Kean never did enough to get his chance"
"Kean scored twice in 2 games he started"
Biiiit unsure of your stance there
Most sensible post for a long timeI don’t want us to sell Kean because I’d like to believe he can come good. There’s no point comparing it to the DCL situation though, it’s completely different. DCL was a cheap punt with low expectations and low wages, giving him chance to develop was always the plan. Kean was quite clearly bought to make an impact. People can pretend he wasn’t all they want but this club does not buy £27m players and pay them £50k a week On the off chance they come good after 3 years. He hasn’t done what we expected and it’s left the club with a decision to make. We’re also not the only ones who won’t be happy. He didn’t come here to make cameos, he’s supposed to be a star. He and his agent will not have been happy with last season, and if the situation doesn’t look like it’s changed then they’ll want out.
Blimey who rattled your cage are you in the Mosie Kean dimension, anyway constant rumours of wanting away, with performances worse than Niasse, we should all form a human chain and help him pack... And I'll pick him up and drive him to the airport myself for his one way ticket back to Italy. Get Simms in first team desire is what is needed.Has he came out and actively said he's not excited to be playing with Rodriguez? Or is he the only member of the squad who hasn't come out and said he is excited? I can only assume you've been on every other players thread and said the same about their theoretical levels of excitement?
His reputation on arrival was of a good professional with one or two small disciplinary matters involving curfew while on U21 duty with Italy. Teenagers tend to do daft stuff like that. A lot of teenagers do a lot worse.
By and large he has been praised as a person and professional by all his coaches in Italy. The biggest story around him in Italy was when he reacted to relentless racist chanting from Cagliari fans and was unbelievably criticised for it by Bonucci.
Definitely blotted his copybook at Everton with breaching Covid rules and being late for a team meeting but it's hardly outrageous behaviour that puts him in the notorious category.
