Both decent players, but we need to look at future gems/bargains or players that can help push us to the top 6. Top 4 may be a step too far at the moment.

Apparently so, age isn't a concern as we're supposedly looking at adding a mix of experience and youth in this window and they see him as a solid backup at the very least.

i would whole heartedly prefer to sign snodgrass for £10 mill than depay for £25 mill.

snodgrass might not be exotic, but he gives 110%, is great dead ball and pens, gets goals, he is an Everton type player in his prime. we already have 5 depays in our squad, who can not be arsed to put the effort in

...all I'm saying is there is a growing anti-Barry bandwagon which is unfair. He's a really talented footballer on the verge of the most ever Premiership appearances. Of course we need to progress, of course we need more energy in midfield and of course Barry's game time will decrease but the fact this manager has continued to play him whilst dropping our other 'stars' illustrates he should be last on the list for a dislike campaign.

Depay in the dutch league is worth £25m all day. Depay at United not so much, im not fussed about Depay to be honest I would rather have schneiderlein, but I wouldn't mind a set piece specialist as another avenue to creating goals, anybody know how much calhanoglu would cost from Leverkusen ?

you need players like snodgrass or even brunts to put the hard yards in, so you can carry luxoury players like dpay or gerri. its all about having the right mix. we currently have one player who puts in the extra effort every game, and he's going to be missing the whole of january
