Why would the top 6 be after them? We're not suggesting they are top level players, however I think they're the type of players we need at the moment. They're not a long term solution, just a stepping stone to where we need to get to. And we aren't a top 6 club.
If we hadn't run out of gas so soon we might of got a result, so I'm not sure what your point is really?

Schneiderlin is one of those players whose work goes unnoticed. I think he'd be a great replacement for Barry and at 27 is a good age.
It's a no brained really, relatively cheap, knows Koeman and his system, and is a good quality player. Alongside Gueye and a creative midfielder, the central midfield already looks better.

we are NEVER going to compete with any top 6 side over a transfer .. yet
top 6 can offer european football, and much better wages (if the player is that good)

Precisely mate. Sadly it doesn't appear that the likes of Snodgrass and Brunt are fashionable enough for part of our fan base, we need a 22 year old south american that we can chuck in the reserves and never see again, cos that's worked wonders so far.

I was thinking £35m+ based mainly on last season, not sure how well he has done this year, I know Brandt is getting looked at by a fair few teams.
