I LIKE this lad .

The Convict Ora-Cula , I'm finding ,.....

Cheers mate.

I personally think moyes is just about spot on with his formations and mind set of how the game should play out, just that he needs to either focus more on a counter attack if he continues to play as defensive as we have been or if he wants us to control as per most of the season, install some tactics that push the oppositions defensive line right back onto the keeper.

Basically if we moved everything we did 10 to 20 feet closer to our goal, we would be in a very different position. With wingers that are told to push wide and not cut in to push the defensive fullback line back, will change the face of Evertons game.

*please note this is all personal opinion.

That is the whole point Moyes seems to be incapable of that kind of ingame change. Look at yesterday's subbing not very clever at all.

The thing is ; moyesie set us up okay but if it needs changing he either acts too late or seems incapable of recognising where thr changes are required. His subs aren't great , particularly in games v Wigan, West Ham and Stoke !!

True, and the instructions for the players seem a bit off. Pienaar is a great player but when he cuts in it never works for us, or at least this season. When he cuts in, there is only 1 player he can put the through ball to, who will be already well covered and other than that he has to pass backwards or to his side. It makes our play easy to read, predictable and VERY easy to shut down.

Swapping him sides will hopefully eliminate his need to cut in and enable us to use the great players we have that are capable of playing left side

Playing Pienaar on the right will change very little in all honesty, he's still going to drift inside and influence the game in central areas. That's his style, he's an attacking midfielder, and playing him on his opposite side (right footer on the left) is usually the best way to get the most out of this style of player. It does work, the amount of times Pienaar creates space for Baines and gets him into a good position is there for everyone to see, and vice versa, to be fair to Baines. They have an excellent understanding, and it's one of the few areas we don't have to worry about.

I see your point, the understanding they have is one of the best we have. As an attacking midfielder he has produced 0 Assists and 1 goal this campaign, and we know this is not from lack of talent. The style he plays is currently not going well with the team because no one goes with him when he makes his runs, he has no options and he's usually too far out to shoot.

I've mentioned it before, but he's recently put a number of different players through, one on one with the keeper. Beckford against West Brom, Saha against Blackpool and Wigan and Coleman against Wigan. That's off the top of my head, there's probably more examples of his creativity which is completely overlooked because he doesn't get an assist to his name.

He was [Poor language removed] against Stoke, but all in all, Pienaar's position and form isn't the problem. It's not his fault certain players aren't being clinical enough. Now I don't have a problem using him on the right during spells in certain games, he can play there, and there's nothing wrong with changing things, but his best position is definitely on the left.

You also have to take into account that Baines never looks as effective with a left footer infront of him. They attack similar spaces, and it's easy to defend against.
