Martinez.

Martinez trying to force Everton's hand into a decision.

*bangs head against wall.

To be honest with you, if I was Everton I would just rule him out now. We are a massive club and we don't deserve to be strung along by a manager of a team who have just been relegated.

Have we even offered him the job, Whelan came out and said there been no approach yesterday, I agree in pulling out if we have approached him.

I'm starting to fear that Everton are going to arse about until all tolerable targets have found work elsewhere.

Seriously though, F*** Martinez. He should be biting Bill's hand off for the Everton job, it's too good for him, says I. If he isn't, it's beneath us to wait around for him.

There is still a perfect candidate for us out there lads; he wants to come and doesn't mind managing a skint club either:

He's still my first choice, I can't believe he's not in any of the bookies lists. Out of the three managers I wouldn't mind seeing at the club, only Pereira seems to be getting talked about. Bielsa being the third.

One thing to note though, Porto's turnover is roughly the same as EFC's. I don't know if they get bankrolled though, but next season with the new TV money we'd have a higher turnover than Porto. So it might not be unlikely that Pereira doesn't see us as being that cashstrapped.

Moyes delayed his decision for a year or more

Exactly, we've seen this all before. It's a bit low of Martinez, he's relegated the club and instead of being grateful that he wasn't axed mid contract, he's willing to leave them in the lurch instead of attempting to put things right. He's holding out to see if there's a better offer on the table, and was clearly expecting one to be before todays deadline.

I think he's being quite disrespectful to his club and Chairman, who've stood by him. Having said that, I'm openly biased as I don't want him here. I think he'd relegate us, or drive us close to it, and then have a million and one excuses as to why it happened and then bugger off.

Don't do it, I've been doing it all week, you'll just get a splitting headache

To me it all sounds like Bill is actually listening and going for Pereira, which has got all these papers and strong links going round, Martinez is now thinking "****, i may not get the job as i haven't been called and there is big talk of this Pereira guy". So he has decided to delay his decision until we offer him something, as he isn't stupid enough to quit his current job if no one has offered him anything.

It makes sense in my head anyway! This is also what i am hoping for.

We probably haven't approached them but that's only cos we are classy club and we won't approach anyone under contract. Perhaps we need to either declare our interest or just look elsewhere.
